Thanks for the all the advice. We went to the e-vet and my kitty has bad abscessed tooth.
We could have waited until morning but the vet was really nice and said he sees the same symptoms in cats that ate something toxic so good that we are here.
He is giving us antibiotics and pain meds and the number of a vet dentist for Monday.
Thanks again, I am relieved.

Do I take my cat to the er tonight or wait for his vet in the morning?
Symptoms as of 6pm tonight: Drooling excessively. (I know some cats drool he doesn't ). The front of him is wet Glazed dopey look in his eyes Eats and drinks normal Purring on my lap Doesnt seem in pain no matter where I poke him.
He is 6 and normally lazy but a meticulous groomer and usually at least follows me around the house. He is just hanging on the sofa looking like he smoked up before I got home. He is constantly licking his lips.

I hope he's ok. Better to be safe than sorry. Cats hide illness really well so if they are showing symptoms that's reason enough to take them to the vet.
Is it possible he found a stray pill/medication on the floor somewhere? Once I had to give my cat medication and instead of the pill going to the back of his throat like it's supposed to, it was in his mouth and he bit it. He began to foam/froth at the mouth and I FREAKED OUT. I thought they gave me the wrong rx or something. Turns out cats do that intentionally when they taste bitter things. I called and they told me no worries but it lasted for a while until he got that taste out of his mouth.
I would be concerned of neurological issues if you don't think he has gotten into anything. Seizure activity on any level can involve some freaking WEIRD behavior. E-vet for you! Good luck!
