"Why would you ruin perfectly good peanuts by adding candy corn? That's like saying hey, I have these awesome nachos, guess I better add some dryer lint." - Nonny
Answering late, but I did the SAME THING, although with my phone. I found that was better than running up and down a rather steep set of stairs 300 times. In 90 minutes, we got about 50 kids maybe? Less than we've had in other years--we've lived in this house for 10 years and we've needed to make a supplemental run more than a few times. The last couple of years we finally learned our lesson and bought plenty--and now we have leftovers. We actually have a TON of candy still in our give-out bowl (I'll end up taking some of it to school to use as prizes--I know, like they REALLY need more candy, right?), which I'm bummed about (for at home) b/c I do NOT need that in my face.
I was surprised by the # of kids that didn't say Trick or Treat (so I said it for them, LOL), but I was super happy about the # of kids that said THANK YOU! I think all but one said thank you.
