How many drinks do you take if these 2 come to your door? It is cold here this evening, so they were only out for about 45 minutes before they decided that they were literally frozen.
That really disturbs me. What are girls that age watching that makes them want to dress up like that?
They are zombies. Zombies are a classic halloween outfit. Would it have been OK with you if there were boys? I just don't know how hard to roll my eyes at you.

No. Dead, or undead, bleeding kids of any gender are not okay.
ETA: the excessive blood is also so gory that it looks like violence to me. Like a shooting victim.

Question, though -- is there an age threshold for zombies being appropriate?
One of my cousins dressed her daughter as a zombie cupcake. The kid is 2. I side-eyed that, because of the age. Not that the kid would understand, but it seemed odd. Maybe I shouldn't have?

That's because they are killer Anna and Elsa. We've done zombie before, and last year she had the zipper face makeup. Only Anna is mine, Elsa is a friend from school.
Also, they are 10. Mine has always loved being scary. I think this is the 4th or 5th year she was something scary. She says being pretty is like playing dress up (and she's never liked playing dress up). And I made sure they didn't purposely scare little kids. We were out a little later than the real young kids though.
Let me see if I can get this to work from the app. It's a collage of all of her costumes. There was a picture on the GMA FB wall the other day showing a vampire Elsa. Someone replied and basically said "mark my words, she's going to kill you in your sleep in 7 years" or something like that. Uhhh huh.

If my daughter saw them on the street she would have been hysterical.
Ive never been one for gorey thungs and its one of the growing lists of things I dont like about Halloween. DD is at an age where going to a couple houses and happy to pass out candy...im sure that wont last too long.

I made sure to watch for kids that looked like they may lose it if they saw them. There weren't many, but if I saw an inkling, we'd just bop across the street and do a zig zag pattern. We were out when it was dark though. Most of the little ones around here tend to go early.

We went to my H's office and my DD (2) was terrified of the guy in the suit jacket with a harmonica and guitar, but happily smiled at the zombie and the vampire with blood on her face. Go figure.
I'm just hoping those were the cheap versions of the dress. The blood doesn't come out. I think they're great. If you lived closer, the Grands would love to hang out. A couple years ago they were zombie cheerleaders.
Lol! Your kid is a trip, she always seems way more grown up than mine the same age. My oldest DD was a huntress/archer & I felt a little bad about that being associated with violence..lol. But none of my girls seemed bothered by scary costumes this year except the super scary masks for my 1.5yr old. I showed them all the pic & they all gasped & thought it was weird..lol. DH laughed.
