DD #1 has a 2 mile run at 8, so motivated or not that's what's on my agenda this morning. All I really want to do is go crawl back into bed (I actually dumped my blankets on the floor and put my sheet in the laundry when I got up, just to make sure I couldn't!)

I am! Awake in bed trying to decide if I want to meet my running group shortly (still dark and cold!) or run by myself later in the day when it's warmer.....
me - supposed to run 13 but it is raining, windy and real-feel of 36. I'm going to give it a little while before heading out.
are your running the 485 race tomorrow? if you don't get your 13 in today, my running group is running the 10k and going anywhere from 14-22 total. i'm doing the 10k and running back to my house for 9ish if you're interested!
It's 39 degrees with winds of 25-40 mph. I was going to head out on the mountain bike at the local trails, but there are a lot of reports of trees down. It's a trainer ride instead. Blah.
It's 7 am on the west coast. I'm heading out for yoga class and a half mile swim at the gym. I'm glad I'm not running this morning. It's cold and I am a wuss.

I stayed in bed ridiculously late. It's cold and rainy and I am planning a 2 mile easy run before my long run tomorrow. But it hadly seems worth it to get all wet and cold for just 2 miles. Maybe I'll head to the Y and hit the treadmill. #wimp
One good thing about cold weather is hot chocolate post run! Yum! Best recovery drink ever.
After 12 in 36 degrees, I came home and made a big pot of coffee and sat in a hot Epsom salt bath for 30 minutes while drinking a cup. I think this will be a routine the last few weeks of training.

I ran it this morning Sorry i didn't see this - my husband ran it with me and i used a "windbreaker" that didn't really keep the rain out and now i have nice neck-chafing going on.
Still not too bad with 32 degree wind chill, 15 mph wind gusts, rain and ran it in 2:00:57. I'll take it. And the pot of coffee i'm consuming to warm up. Hopefully the wind won't be a factor for y'all tomorrow.
And 485 10k? Are they shutting down the highway?!?!

I got up late this morning because we had a little too much fun last night trick or treating with the new neighbors so I got a late start on my run which was a big mistake. By the time I got out the rain had started and there were so many cars on the road there were a couple of times I got a little nervous. I will admit, I like running in the cold over the heat though,

Ow re: neck chafing!! That's a great time, especially with the crappy weather!
They're doing it on the part that hasn't opened yet. Apparently it'll go on the 485/85 interchange that hasn't completely opened yet too. I haven't seen a map, so who knows. I'm shooting for a huge PR considering I haven't run a 10k in 5 years-I've never broken an hour. I'm hoping to average 9:05 or below, but we'll see! I'm not a later in the day runner.
I am! Doing a 5 mile trail race (in NoVa for the DC folks). Waiting in my car to keep warm before the race starts. It's super windy. This might not have been my best idea.
