Any reason to wait out the 2 weeks? My OB wanted me out of the 1st tri before I go the flu shot when I was pg 4 years ago (which was the first time I ever got one), but I don't know if it would matter in the 2ww or if the rules have changed.
I'd confirm with your dr before getting it. I got my flu shot last week but it was on cd2. I went to a CVS Store and they had me answer several questions about my health. The last question asked if I was pregnant or if there was a chance of getting pregnant in the next 30 days. I said yes. When the pharmacist came to give me my shot she made sure to mention that the shot they were giving me is safe for pregnant/TTC ladies because their vaccine didn't have preservatives in it.

Unless you are allergic to an inactive ingredient (eggs gelatin latex neomycin polymyxin) OR you have a fever there are no contraindications to getting a flu shot. Doesn't matter what time of the month it is. Doesn't matter if your allergies are bothering you. Doesn't matter if your best friends second cousin has a fever. Get your shot and get it over with. It takes two weeks to take full effect and at this point the flu may already be in your area thus making it more likely you could get the flu.
I'm just relaying the info my OB gave me the first time around, I love and trust her and would listen again. However, I switched to midwives for GYN care after my OB merged with a huge practice that I'm not fond of and I'm hoping for a VBAC so that drove my decision to switch, I guess I'll call them tomorrow and see what they advise for their patients. Just figured I'd see what others here have done/were doing.

With the exception of IVF, there is zero reason to act like you are pregnant until you get a positive test.
And waiting until after 1st tri is outdated advice. They have changed in the last 4 years. Get your shot. There is no reason to waste their time with even a phone call about this.

Well that's why I asked or why I would have needed to call, obviously. Jeez.
