I was drying my hair this morning and thinking about the Clomid post from last week. I had a few thoughts regarding Clomid. Hoping to expound on them with a little research from current/past Clomid users with some history of using Clomid...basically, I'm a data nerd:
1. How many mg of Clomid were you prescribed? 2. Were you anovulatory prior to using Clomid? 3. If you were ovulatory before Clomid, what cycle day did you usually ovulate? 4. Did you ovulate with Clomid? If so, what cycle day? 5. If you have had multiple rounds of Clomid, did any of this change for you (above questions) by changing/increasing the mg/dose of Clomid? 6. (Edit) What cycle days did your doc have you take it?
Findings have no effect on what I'm doing. This is just research because I'm curious....and I'm thinking others may be curious too, based on comments from our last post.
1. How many mg of Clomid were you prescribed 50mg 2. Were you anovulatory prior to using Clomid? No 3. If you were ovulatory before Clomid, what cycle day did you usually ovulate? CD17 or CD18 4. Did you ovulate with Clomid? If so, what cycle day? CD14 5. If you have had multiple rounds of Clomid, did any of this change for you (above questions) by changing/increasing the mg/dose of Clomid? No I stuck with 50mg but I also added Bravelle injections.

1) 100mg 2) No 3) CD12-14 4) Yes, CD15 5) Only did one round as my "Clomid Challenge". I failed the challenge so the doctor told me Clomid would probably never work for me. I was hoping to do more than one round, but since it wasn't working, I didn't waste my time and have moved on to IVF 6) CD5 through 9
1. How many mg of Clomid were you prescribed? I'm on my second cycle with Clomid and both have been 100mg.
2. Were you anovulatory prior to using Clomid? No. Taking it for IUI with trigger.
3. If you were ovulatory before Clomid, what cycle day did you usually ovulate? Anywhere from cd12-cd16.
4. Did you ovulate with Clomid? If so, what cycle day? Yes, on cd15.
5. If you have had multiple rounds of Clomid, did any of this change for you (above questions) by changing/increasing the mg/dose of Clomid? Just took my last dose last night, so the jury is still out.
6. (Edit) What cycle days did your doc have you take it? Cd3-7
1. How many mg of Clomid were you prescribed? 100mg 2. Were you anovulatory prior to using Clomid? Not consistently, but I have a couple of cycles that I was. 3. If you were ovulatory before Clomid, what cycle day did you usually ovulate? Generally between CD 14-20. 4. Did you ovulate with Clomid? If so, what cycle day? I've only done one cycle, but I O'd on CD16 5. If you have had multiple rounds of Clomid, did any of this change for you (above questions) by changing/increasing the mg/dose of Clomid? No 6. (Edit) What cycle days did your doc have you take it? Started on CD3

1. How many mg of Clomid were you prescribed? 100 mg 2. Were you anovulatory prior to using Clomid? No 3. If you were ovulatory before Clomid, what cycle day did you usually ovulate? 14-15 4. Did you ovulate with Clomid? If so, what cycle day? Yes. Triggered on CD17 for CD18 ovulation. 5. If you have had multiple rounds of Clomid, did any of this change for you (above questions) by changing/increasing the mg/dose of Clomid? NA. I was pulled off it after one cycle for severely thinned lining. 6. (Edit) What cycle days did your doc have you take it? 3-7, but that was to try to time monitoring and IUI better with the holiday. Normally they do 5-9.
1. How many mg of Clomid were you prescribed? 50mg 2. Were you anovulatory prior to using Clomid? nope. temp and CBEFM confirmed O every month 3. If you were ovulatory before Clomid, what cycle day did you usually ovulate? I O'd on C11 4. Did you ovulate with Clomid? If so, what cycle day? CD14-15 5. If you have had multiple rounds of Clomid, did any of this change for you (above questions) by changing/increasing the mg/dose of Clomid? I've only been on 50mg 6. What cycle days did your doc have you take it? CD3-7
1. How many mg of Clomid were you prescribed? 50 mg and then 100 mg 2. Were you anovulatory prior to using Clomid? Yes 3. If you were ovulatory before Clomid, what cycle day did you usually ovulate? N/A 4. Did you ovulate with Clomid? If so, what cycle day? Not on my first cycle (50 mg), on 100 mg I O'd on CD 23, CD 18 and it appears I might have just O'd yesterday on CD 25 5. If you have had multiple rounds of Clomid, did any of this change for you (above questions) by changing/increasing the mg/dose of Clomid? See above. Anovulatory on 50 mg, ovulatory on 100 mg 6. (Edit) What cycle days did your doc have you take it? First two cycles CD 5-9, last two cycles CD 3-7. It seemed the first time that CD 3-7 made me O earlier but this month I was back to O'ing later again.
1. 50mg 2. I ovulated occasionally, and irregularly. Not frequently. 3. If I did ovulate, it was usually not until CD 27-30, somewhere in that zone. 4. This is my first clomid cycle, and based on a +OPK and massive cramping and bloating, I think I ovulated yesterday (CD 18), waiting for temps to confirm. I had an ultrasound on CD14 and my doctor said it looked like I would ovulate the next day, but I did not for a few more days. Having bloodwork on Friday to check progesterone levels. 5. N/a 6. CD5-9
