I'm pretty sure I have a uti. I'm going to urgent care after work today, but I'm a little frustrated about it. This will be my second UTI since starting TTC in Feb. Both times, they happened around 4-5dpo.
Has anybody else become more prone to UTI's during this stage? Do you do anything differently to try to prevent them?
I used to get UTIs very frequently even before we were TTCing. I now take cranberry supplements and try not to wait too long after sex to use the restroom. It's very frustrating. I hope you find something that helps.

D-mannose has saved me on numerous occasions -- I used to get them often enough, but since discovering this little miracle, I haven't needed abx.
That being said, best if you catch it early, if its a raging infection, go see the Doc.
Safe to take while pregnant to my knowledge also. I've done a lot of reading. Its just a sugar molecule, but its the concentrated active ingredient that is what makes cranberry juice work by preventing the bacteria from adhering to the bladder. I can't do cranberry, it just makes me burn more when I have an infection.
Check it out online and see if its for you. I always keep it handy and take it immediately upon the first symptom, and depending on severity will take it for the rest of the day in a few doses or ongoing for a few days following. Not cheap, but by God, its worth every last penny in my experience. That, and always peeing after sex. I hear the smart sperm are already on their way up

Im sorry you're not feeling well! I recently found a cranberry juice thats pure juice and its nasty but it works wonders coupled with vitamin c pills. All that acid cleans the infection out
Wondering if it could be from more frequent sex? Also, if you lay still for some time after you're done instead of going to the bathroom right away you could be more prone to UTIs.
I'm sure it is from that. I try to go to the bathroom within 5 or so mins after. I did have an infection. They put me on a pg safe antibiotic (just in case). I'm feeling MUCH better now!
