I have no idea where it came from, I just remember her talking about it or some shit like that. For a person that got her start on a show that was based around gaming, computer, and the internet world she should have known better.
I always got the impression Olivia Munn wanted everyone to know. At the time, she was fresh on The Daily Show and didn't have a whole lot of career to speak of save being the Attack of the Show girl and how many people actually knew what G4 was?
I'm still mad at G4. They ruined a good thing. That channel could have been fucking awesome. Instead, they ditched real content and played Cops marathons all the damned time. Whatever, yo. There's always youtube.
OMG how many times can I Give this a THUMBS UP. THANK YOU. My husband and I say this all the time! Seriously, they turned such a good channel into James Bond and Cops channel. Do you remember ScreenSavers with Patrick Norton and Leo LaPort?
If it weren't for AOTS she would NEVER had met the people she did, they made her. Without AOTS she would never had met Jonah Hill and gotten a hook-up for a 5min role in a movie.
She wrote a memoir, about what, her 30yrs on this planet doing nothing.Â
Does it have transcripts of the dirty texts she and Chris Pine were trading because I might read all that. eclaires' boyfriend is a dirty, dirty man. You get it, Captain Kirk.
Chris Pine as Captain Kirk is panty dropping. Fact.

I don't think I watched ScreenSavers. I used to watch Cheats and what the hell was that show with Adam Sessler whom I still adore, don't even care. Leo LaPort has a tech show on talk radio now. I hear it some times on the weekend.
I predict Olivia Munn with Heigl the hell out of her career one day. I'm really not surprised she sees that show as something she dealt with until greater things came her way, instead of a stepping stone that gave her breaks. I can't even see her as a decent looking woman because of the way she acted on ATOS. Anyone who is constantly telling you they are entirely too hot for you kills whatever attraction one might have had to them.
Candace Bailey was a most excellent replacement and Kevin Pereira clearly had more fun with Candace. There were times in the Olivia Munn days where I swear he was trying hard not to kill her.

You know when she jumped into that pudding he was thinking something like, break your leg, break your arm, break something so you have to take time off.
Yes that gaming show, I can't think of the name, my husband used to dvr it and not watch, just so G4 could have some sort of original programming on the channel. LOL
I also like Candace a lot better, and Chobot. Did you know that Chobot is married to Blair Herter?
I think I did know that! About Chobot and Herter. Or maybe I'm just remembering when Kristen got married.
Oh crap "Teeth" as I used to call Kristin. Now I have to look up and see who she married.
No one special I don't think. I just recall that one day it was Cheats with Kristen ThisName and the next it was Cheats with Kristen ThatName and either Sessler or Pereira said, btw, congrats on the wedding.
Apparently Olivia Munn and Pereira were on speaking terms after the show until Brett Ratner aka MegaDouche appeared on AOTS talking all kinds of smack about Olivia Munn and then Munn refused to speak to Pereira after that.
Brett Ratner is mega gross, did I mention that? Eww.
I don't think its intentional. Its an easy mistake for an outsider to make. I think that in an attempt to speak like a local, an out-of-towner could easily overthink it. We do have a tendency in Mass to underemphasize the last syllable of towns, and I could see someone thinking Watertown would follow that rule.
When in actuality, Mass has no rules when it comes to mannerisms of speech.

I gave up because I found it insufferable.
I'm also really starting to hate Sorkin because of his sexism. We are rewatching West Wing right now and are near the end of season 1. So far, CJ is the only close female adviser to the president yet she's ALWAYS the one who doesn't understand stuff. I don't understand the census! I don't understand economics! Later in the series, in order to have the explain-to-the-dumb public moment, they have CJ ask what a filibuster is. THE PRESS SECRETARY TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES KNOWS WHAT A GODDAMNED FILIBUSTER IS!
Anyway, I noticed all this shit when I was watching Newsroom, too. It was always the female characters who were flighty and erratic and the men had to swoop in an mansplain to them. STOP IT, SORKIN. I AM ON TO YOU.

...but...there is this, which is all kinds of awesome.
"Not gonna lie; I kind of keep expecting you to post one day that you threw down on someone who clearly had no idea that today was NOT THEIR DAY." ~dontcallmeshirley
I watch. I really like Don and Sloan but I'm really over Maggie and Jim and their respective story lines. I feel beat over the head with the Maggie/Jim storylines.
I will never forget an episode of L&O where they referenced Fond du lac, Wisconsin and totally butchered it (it was a dude testifying who claimed that's where he grew up).
I also love it when TV/movie settings show scenery that does.not.exist in those actual regions.
