How long did you wait to start trying again? How long did it take to get pregnant again?
I've heard conflicting things. Wait 6 months to try, there's no need to wait, it may take longer, it may happen right away. Curious about the range of experiences on this board.
I want to be pregnant since like, yesterday after my august m/c but wondering if I need to work on managing my expectations (the answer is probably yes).
I had a CP, so very early miscarriage at about 5 weeks. I started trying again the next cycle but sometimes they have you wait a cycle or two. Still trying 11 months after mine, so I can't answer the last part of your question.

We TFMR and it took 8 weeks for my period to come back so once it did, we waited one cycle and then we started trying again. We're now on cycle 20 and not pregnant again yet.
I had a missed mc at 10 weeks and D&C on September. It took 4 weeks for my period to come. The dr told me to wait one cycle and then we could start again.
I was at the dr's office this week to make sure everything was ok and he said it was fine for us to start trying again. So now I'm waiting for AF, which is due tomorrow.
Obviously, I don't know how long it will take. It took us 9 cycles to get our first BFP, so I'm hoping it doesn't take that long this time.
We intended to wait one cycle post D&C before actively starting to trying again per my doctor's recommendation. However, I got pregnant before my first post-D&C AF, and this pregnancy has stuck. I have had complications with his pregnancy, and while unlikely, it's possible that getting pregnant so soon after the D&C could have contributed to some of the complications. For this reason, listen to what your doctor says regarding when to start trying again.
Thanks all. We are good to start trying again, but I am not sure how long to expect to be trying this time around. I had heard it can happen quickly, but obviously that's not the case for all.
I was wondering about this as well. My doctor said to wait two cycles and so far I've had one, so I guess we will stick to that and hope for the best. Fingers crossed that the next is your take home baby.
I'm having a miscarriage now at eight weeks. The doc told us to wait one cycle and then we can try again. It took 8 cycles for this BFP, so I'm hoping the next one is faster.
I had a MMC and D&C at 8+ weeks. It took 4 weeks to get a (very light) period, and I half heartedly ttc that month, although my doctor recommended waiting 2 cycles. It's now been 5 cycles since the D&C, and still trying.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

1st m/c: It took 5 weeks to get AF after D&C. My doctor wanted me to have one normal cycle before trying again but we did the NTNP the first cycle and then tried right away. It ended up taking 7 cycles to get pregnant the second time (same as it did the first).
2nd m/c: Again, took 5 weeks for AF after natural m/c. We were told to wait until we had clearance from our RE. Had the m/c mid Nov (actually 1 year ago today), and started testing with the RE in mid-Dec. Preliminary test results came back as unexplained on Dec 23rd. DH and I intended to not TTC until we got the official word from my RE at the beginning of January but had a slip up (we were using pull and pray) the day after Christmas and continued to not prevent from there on out. It took 4 cycles to get pregnant the 3rd time.
My first m/c was around 6 weeks. I was told to wait one month after my cycle return, so essentially 2 periods. I was pregnant 3 months after that.
My most recent was a blighted ovum diagnosed at 9 weeks, 2 rounds of cystotec, finally m/c at 12 weeks. I'm being told to wait 3 cycles before trying again. We will do that and possibly wait longer.
I had a m/c around 7 or 8 weeks before I had DD. My doctor told me to wait a cycle, so we did. It took 3 cycles after that to get pregnant again.
Now, we're trying for #2. I had a chemical pregnancy in August/early September. I didn't even call my doctor because it was a holiday weekend when I found out, and then I was already bleeding 4 days later. We tried again right away and I got pregnant the next cycle. That whole pregnancy was weird though, including not finding out I was pregnant until almost 7 weeks along because I got what I thought was a period at the beginning of it, and then that one ended up in a m/c about a week after that. My doc advised me to wait a cycle again before trying, which is where we are now.
First of all, I am so sorry for your loss and also for the losses of everybody in this thread.
I had a mm/c in July with a D&C at 9 weeks. I got my period 4 weeks later. My Dr. Initially told me to wait 3 months, but after my first normal cycle I clarified that with her. She said we could start trying again as soon as I had a Normal cycle. She told me she usually tells people 3 months in case it takes that long for them to have a normal cycle.
I would ask your doctor if you are concerned about it. Some say go ahead and try again, some sy wait 3 months, it's really what they have to say. I had a missed m/c at 7 weeks and a D&C. My period came 4 1/2 weeks later. My RE said we could start trying after I got my period. My m/c was in September, so this is our first cycle back trying.

I had a chemical pregnancy at about 5 weeks earlier this month. My dr said I did not need to wait. It took 1.5 years to get my first bfp hoping it won't take that long again.

I had a blighted ovum at 8 weeks and a d&c on oct 24th. I'm waiting for my period now but doctor recommended we wait 2 cycles but said he didn't have to be super strict with protection.
I'm so sorry for your loss. With our most recent (early) m/c we didn't even wait. Doctors here (UK) generally advise waiting 1 cycle because sometimes the one after a m/c can be wonky and most women don't monitor their ovulation, so it can be hard for them to accurately date a subsequent pregnancy. However, the accepted wisdom here is that you're more fertile after a m/c so you should start trying again as soon as you feel well enough.
I had a d&c at 16 weeks, and we were advised to wait three cycles.
I had my second loss at 6 weeks (natural) and we were also told to wait three cycles, but testing revealed an issue so we are now waiting for that to be resolved.
