We were very casual in the beginning, too. Besides opk's (which I've used from the beginning) we also started using PreSeed, and I stay laying with my hips elevated for like 10-15 minutes after. I also have pretty much cut out alcohol, especially during my 2ww. I know it probably doesn't matter, but it's worth a shot I guess.
This cycle I'm also going to try eating pineapple. Last cycle (first IUI cycle) I didn't test out my trigger shot (which was 10,000 units - so 10 days out of my system), and I had faint positives 11dpiui, 12dpiui and 13dpiui. I started spotting 14dpiui, then cd1. I'm wondering if I did get pregnant but did not implant.
It took us 9 cycles to get our BFP (which ended in mmc). The first 2 or 3 cycles we were casual, just estimating O day ad taking prenatals. Then I started using OPKs. The last couple cycles before our BFP i also took FertileCM.
Right now, I'm waiting for AF ao we can start trying again. I bought PreSeed so we'll give it a try next cycle.
Last time, it took us 6 months. I temped one month, just to get the feel for it, then the last two cycles I used opks, and the last cycle I ate pineapple core.
This round, we didn't do anything the first month and got pg, ended in MMC.
I bought pre-seed, but MH hates it. I'm just using OPKs now, and debating whether to do anything else. I keep meaning to temp at least through ovulation, but then I wake up and forget.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I am going to acupuncture and using her recommended herbs. I'm not all that crunchy...but I do believe in it and was already seeing her twice a month. We're using OPK's and I'm laying off the NSIAD's and also green tea during the LP.
Well now we are monitored with trigger shots. Preseed for post IUI sex. Lay down after IUI/sex.
I've always taken fish oil and folic acid, but would have added those if I wasn't taking already. I added CoQ10 specifically for TTC. I go to acupuncture 3x/cycle. I've decreased caffeine, eliminated alcohol, and follow a lower carbohydrate / high protein diet. No NSAIDs.

Think we're also going to try back-to-back iuis.. This is our "pull out all the stops" cycle before moving to IVF.
My favorite thing in the entire world (ok, ok, maybe sometimes in addition to pasta), is pomegranate. A year before DH and I started TTC, I ate at least one a day (I also lived in a location during this time where they were in season year-round and was able to get them already cored so I didn't have to deal with the hassle). My dinner usually was pomegranate, strawberries, and kiwis. When I returned home, I started drinking pomegranate juice just to get my fix since they weren't in season year round here. I had no idea that there were old wives tales that pomegranates supposedly can help your fertility until after I got pregnant. It could have been pure dumb luck the times I got pregnant during this period, or maybe there was was some stock in the OWTs.
I still drink pomegranate juice (or eat a pomegranate) every day FWIW.
DH isn't a fan of it, so I figure it's nbd to use other stuff when I'm unlikely fertile. Like we used it for the day of IUI sex, but not sex days later.

Vitex & b6, pressed, CBEFM, stopped taking Advil, trying to cut down on caffeine. With our first I temped and drank a ton of green tea and stuff, this time around I keep adding another layer each cycle. This is cycle 4 for us (1st took 6) andim considering temping, I'm only on CD3 so I have another another day or so to decide.
REALLY!?!? I have heard they were better. Well, then scratch those off the list.
Preseed is the only lube, natural or otherwise, proven safe. But your own cervical mucus is best. It's better to try tricks to increase CM rather than using lube.
Drinking more water has increased my CM. Sounds so basic, I know. But it wasn't anything I thought of in the past. I've kept a little tally by my desk of each 8 oz glass I've drank. Making sure I get 8-10 has been key in seeing more CM for me.

not a trick, more of a mental thing for me but when i'm in the 2ww (like now) i try and wear a few of my alex & ani bracelets at least a few times a week. today is one that says "miracles do happen" and one that's got a design called the path of life. i've also got one that says "it's not a sprint, it's a marathon". they just put a positive thought in my head, which is what i struggle with.
