H and I are going to Copenhagen in June for H's work. After he's done, we're going to Sweden. We did a similar trip a few years ago, but will have more time in Copenhagen (last time was just one night) and will aim to see more of Sweden. So I'm excited despite the recent repeat.
We'll have about two weeks, so I'm looking to add an additional city to our itinerary. We stopped in Amsterdam on our last visit, so that's out. H is leaning towards adding Paris, but I was there fairly recently (8 years ago) and H was there as a kid. I'd rather go somewhere new to both of us. I'm thinking Berlin or maybe Brussels. What would you do?
Does it have to be a city? What about visiting some of the scenery in Norway, since you're already in the surrounding area? Even if you only want to spend a few days, you can easily get to Oslo from Stockholm and then do the Nutshell trip from Oslo to Bergen to visit one of the fjords (the rail trip over to the fjords is also supposed to be among the world's 10 best scenic rail trips).
Or if you're coming from northern Sweden, you could catch the train over to Narvik and then visit someplace like Lofoten.

Oslo/the fjords, Bergen, and Bruges are all intriguing. I'll have to look into these options. Also, if anyone has good recs for places to go/things to see between Malmo/Helsingborg and Stockholm, it would be greatly appreciated. We will be seeing some family, but also want to explore Sweden a bit on our own. I'm considering a stop at the Kosta Boda Art Hotel. Anyone been there?
It's an easy/nice overnight cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo. Then you can tour the fjords ending up in Bergen. Norway in a Nutshell does an easy tour that way - we didn't use them but created our own itinerary based off of theirs and spending more time on certain fjords. Norway is spectacular.

I really liked Lund and I know others who have been there and felt the same. I thought it was a lot more scenic than Malmo. I did enjoy seeing Malmohus which is really a Danish castle.
I really love Copenhagen. It is one of my favorite cities (airports)! Frankly, I need to go back sometime myself.
