How far along in this whole journey are you? Charting, cycle#, considering/attempting various interventions or just starting out and basically just not preventing? Or already caught a raging case of the babies? I am in the "I still have cold feet, what the hell are we doing?" phase. I started my cycle on Sunday, so this will be our first month. No charting planned, for now.
This was us, we just kinda didn't pay attention and had sex as we normally would, and we were pregnant within 2 months. I wasn't 100% ready, but that's OK! I'm so incredibly grateful that we were able to conceive so easily. My best advice for those newly trying is to do just that - don't chart, don't use OPKs. Just do it, enjoy it, and hopefully it will be easy.
My other lesson learned from this is that it was a DAMN good thing we were so careful with BC all those years!

Well I just signed up for a January full, so if your TTC theory is true, it shouldn't be long now! LOL

We're not officially trying, but we haven't been avoiding either.
I haven't had a pp period and needed intervention to get pregnant with my last 2, so we don't expect much to happen. We'd welcome a 3rd, if it happens in the mean time. Plan is to get serious and seek help later next year otherwise.
If anyone gets cold feet, you can happily hang out with me in the H&F babies of spring/summer '16! I have told H that I would really like to be on leave during the summer Olympics. I think he thought that I was joking (I wasn't)

Yay, I didn't realize you were on the TTC bandwagon! Love the trade off. Wishing you the best of luck with it!
Thanks, I'm not sure Mr. Gt knows what he has signed up for. He is a middle school teacher and I'm pretty sure he thinks infants need the same amount of care as middle school kiddos, but too late for him
That's good, though! Babies were easy, a toddler is more difficult, but middle school freaks me out .
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I had a really easy pregnancy with the first kid - ran a marathon at 20 weeks, rode the stationary bike and lifted weights until the day before I was induced. I bounced back really easily.
Now I'm older and I know everything is going to sick a little bit this time around. I was a sloth the whole first tri, and although I'm running again now, my longest runs are only 5 miles. I am pretty consistent about swimming, but am working out a lot less in general than last time.
I'm coming to terms with the fact that this kid will probably give me permanent mom belly, I just hope I can get back I to a decent routine within a few months of giving birth so I stay sane!
I've been thinking of you! Happy 6 month Ironman-iversary! I was telling clseale that I feel like going from ironman immediately to pregnancy is super nuts on my "fitness mind frame" - do you feel like that at all? I just feel like I went from 100 to 0 in absolutely no time.
It's so funny, I totally forgot it had been 6 months, but I have the poster in my classroom and was mentioning I have to go to a conference in Texas this week and a kid noticed the poster and was like "oh! Like your ironman 6 months ago" (he was in my class last year too.
Anyway, yeah I became a sloth REALLY quickly, and it was rough. It really helps going to masters at least 3 times a week but I feel like a totally out of shape hippo when I run and kind of wonder if I'll ever get anywhere close to my previous speed ever again :/

Yep - I'm feeling the same way. Augh . I don't know if it's because we are on the heals of IM, or second baby, or neither, or both? I'm certain you'll be back in a flash, though!
There will definitely be no post marathon baby like last time. I think we're done. But I'm so excited for all the H&F babies. It's hard coming back post baby, but I tried not to put too much pressure on myself and not commit to anything huge in the first year.
As most of you know, we have been TTC since last fall. It is difficult for us, every test is coming back normal so we are just sticking with it. We stopped tracking last month after a year of tracking and I think that might help me relax a bit maybe (hopefully)? Or maybe I should sign up for a spring marathon and see if signing up for a full is the trick to getting pregnant
If we get pregnant I will plan on doing whatever I feel good doing. I would love to keep running and doing crossfit, as long as I listen to my body and slow down if necessary.

Dammit. I should have planned better. This is a genius idea.
@sessalee, you look fantastic! Good luck to all the pg ladies and TTCers. I do not plan on joining you for a couple more years, and that's only if my husband gets a different job that allows him to be home more at night.

I'm glad I'll have someone to hang out with next fall for these chats. This is my plan, I didn't even think about the summer Olympics though, bonus!
How far along in this whole journey are you? Charting, cycle#, considering/attempting various interventions or just starting out and basically just not preventing? Or already caught a raging case of the babies? Charting, ovulation sticks, starting cycle 7.
How much do you or do you not plan to scale back once KTFU? I plan to keep on trucking for as long as I can
Have you bought a BOB yet? No
How much are you dreading getting back into fighting shape post pregnancy? Or is this just me? I'm not.

two of mine overlapped the olympics and it was AWESOME! Gforce was two days old when the tour de france started and that was great too because I got to watch it in real time for those early morning feedings.

The world cup and breaking bad got me through two growth spurts.

we're adopting And submitting to become licensed in our county for fostering. i'd be happy to share any good things/bad things we've experienced if you have questions.
Anybody want to talk about pregnancy in terms of H&F? sure!
First kid or no? first How far along in this whole journey are you? Charting, cycle#, considering/attempting various interventions or just starting out and basically just not preventing? Or already caught a raging case of the babies? we are 2 years, 7 months in waiting to be matched through an international adoption. Not sure if this counts for your survey Trying for a bio kid isn't off the table. How much do you or do you not plan to scale back once KTFU? no idea Have you bought a BOB yet? ummmmm yes - January 2nd this year when amazon had them on the deal of the day. To be fair, we were almost 2 years into the adoption process, so it WILL be used eventually. How much are you dreading getting back into fighting shape post pregnancy? Or is this just me? haven't thought about it yet.
We are in the beginning stages of domestic infant adoption. You better believe I'll be buying a bob if Amazon has that great sale again.

I'm not always the most active on the boards, but I'm happy to share our experiences with domestic infant adoption thus far if when you're ready. We are going through an agency vs foster. But lots of TTC vibes!
