M: rest T: 11 miles (if I don't freeze or blow away) W: 8 w/3x1600, Chisel class Th: 5 miles F: rest Sa: 4 easy Su: 10k race
Issues/Vents: my knee and hip are off and on bugging me, and I'm starting to lose motivation for my upcoming races. Luckily they are soon! I'm very much looking forward to a couple weeks off.
Highlights and AW's: I had a solid week with 45 miles and mostly sub 8mm.

What are you training for? Date? Nothing!!! I have a few upcoming races, but I wouldn't say I'm training for them. I'm running a 5k on Saturday and a Thanksgiving day turkey trot. Looking ahead, I have a couple of late winter half marathons, but I won't start training for them until December.
Training plan for the week?
I'm in recovery mode this week.
Mon: Rest Tues: Rest Wed: Easy run/jog (mileage unsure) Thurs: Maybe some core or light weights Fri: 4-5 mile run Sat: 5k (run/walk with the family) Sun: short easy run or rest
Any issues or vents? Nope, although it feels weird to be taking things slow this week. I haven't done any real weight training since mid-October. I'm a little scared to get back in the weight room.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I ran a marathon and PRed!
M: Rest T: ran this morning, 30 min W: PiYo or weights Th: rest Fri: possible run--see vent
AW: I just signed up for my first half-marathon, May 3rd. I can't decide if I'm super excited or if I'm going to throw up, lol. ETA: Right now, just getting 5K conditioning back; possible Santa run mid-December. Plan to spend Jan-March getting used to the mileage, then see if I can use April to work on speed a bit. First goal is to finish, second goal is 3hrs (I'm slow, lol), and it would be awesome to be under 2:50.
Vent: I really need new shoes, and have never been fitted. So I'm torn between just getting another pair of my current Sauconys, which have seemed fine so far as long as I lace them right versus getting my tushy to the running store for a proper analysis (and probable sticker shock, lol) before I start ramping up the miles. I'm also debating the Santa run Dec 14 mainly because I have a treadmill, and zero cold running gear; so that's a lot to invest right around the holidays.

What are you training for? Date? Meet on 1/24
Training plan for the week? Same story, different week. I'll be adding in some additional accessory work and maybe some xBox stuff or a DVD since I am trying to cut weight.
Any issues or vents? My squats are still screwing with me. 405- easy double. 410- easy single. 415- NOPE. WTF. Hopefully we will figure out something. I think my posterior chain isn't kicking in enough because with the suit and wraps I should have zero issue getting out of the hole.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? On the plus side, walking out with 415 & 425 felt like nothing, so at least there's that. Bench last night went better than expected. Last time I used a shirt my meet PR was 231 on a really, really good day, usually I ended up with 225. I killed 235 last night, got stuck with 245 and 250, but overall am happy with how it went. Dropping weight to get down a weight class is going well. Down 6 lbs already from Nov 1, 20 to go (really only 15 because I will water weight cut the last bit).
What are you training for? Date? Philly half this Sunday
Training plan for the week? Let's see - weights today, short run tomorrow, weights Thurs, xtraining Friday, rest Saturday
Any issues or vents? Ugh. I have been sick for the past week and a half. It's in my chest and I feel like crap. I am dreading this race.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I don't know if this is a highlight but I did my last long run on a trail this past weekend. It was my first time on this portion of the trail and I had NO idea where I was going, and it was hard to discern where the path led because of all the leaves. Anyway, while on it, I passed two teenagers smoking pot, a girl walking with no shoes (it was 38 degrees), and I was verbally assaulted buy a drunk man on a golf course who unleashed a vile torrent of what he would like to do to me. Fun times. Nevertheless it was a pretty good run.
What are you training for? Date? Thanksgiving 1/2, 15k inJan, Albany Full (3/7)
Training plan for the week? M: 4 easy miles, yoga T: 8 miles with 4 at 15k pace, abs W: easy 4 miles T: Strength, core F: 14 miles S: 10 miles S: Strength, core
Any issues or vents? I felt a little something in my knee this morning. Hoping it goes away.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Had a 13 mile run with 8 @gmp. While I didn't quite make all my miles, I came close and had a good run.

What are you training for? Date?
ATC Thanksgiving 5K (11/27), Kiawah Half (12/13)
Training plan for the week? TBD. I'd like to get a couple double digit long runs in.
Last week:
Mon: off Tues: 9 mi run Wed: 6 mi run, 20 min bike Thu: 9 mi run Fri: 8 mi run Sat: off Sun: 3.5 mi run, 30 mins elliptical
Any issues or vents? My achilles is still a little tender, but I think I can ice and Aleve to get me through until after Kiawah.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? DH was off all last week and I had a few days off from work too, hence, more mileage. Damn jobs always getting in the way of fun.

What are you training for? Date?
Nothing anytime soon, probably a ride in May - unsure about distance, but probably 50 if I train hard and planning a tri in June so far.
Training plan for the week?
M - legs T - Back & Biceps and 1st 30 min "run" W - Chest & Triceps and bike ride probably 14 or 17 miles Th - legs and 2nd "run" F - Shoulders & abs Sat - "run" and/or ride depending on if DH has his bike yet Su - rest
Any issues or vents? The weather has been crappy! Normal average high is 70 this time of year and it's been in the 40s for the last week and a half and rainy.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Nada, with the exception of 2 days in the gym, it was a rest week. But, I weighed myself and I'm down a couple pounds from a month ago, so I'm headed the right direction!
Sun: 4 on treadmill Mon: unplanned off...was planning bootcamp but we are remodeling our only bathroom, so crazy times Tue: bootcamp Wed: bootcamp or 3-4 mile run Thur: bootcamp Fri: 3-4 mile run Sat: hopefully 5+ run outside as the weather should warm up to 30
Vents: I suck at pacing. And I lack discipline. I was irritated to have missed runs last week for work so I went out for a hard 5k Friday (wound up surprising myself with my 7:06 pace) and then ran my 12 miles Saturday at 7 seconds from my half marathon pace. No wonder my ankle is hurting.
Today I'm running on the treadmill so I can force myself into a slow pace.
AW: thursday I'm going to attempt to swim a mile in the pool. You guys!!! In august I had never owned a pair of goggles or a swim cap. I'm so fucking proud of learning to really swim! I feel like I gained a life skill, seriously.

What are you training for? Date? Space Coast Half in 12 days!
Training plan for the week?
M: 3 mi (hahaha) T: XT W: 3 mi R: weights F: Rest S: 5K + a couple more miles to get to 6 total Su: weights
Any issues or vents? F! It. Is. Cold. 26* last night with wind chill around 20* or less, 25* tonight. DH and I were wimps and cut our run short last night. I live in the South. I don't have running clothes to make that run happen. Luckily by Sunday it will be back to 70* and raining. Ugh.
And my shin is acting up a little bit. I think the cold and dry air is making it unhappy, but that doesn't stop me from freaking out that its gonna blow up before next Sunday.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? 10 miles! I did 10 miles! All at once, not spread over several days or anything.
What are you training for? Date? Not training for anything. I might do a 5k on Thanksgiving but I'm not training for it.
Training plan for the week? Mon - Crossfit Tues - Rest Wed - Crossfit Thurs - not sure Fri - run or Crossfit Sat - Run at least 3 miles
Any issues or vents? It gets dark too early and by the time I get home I can't run so I have to figure out something else to do on my non-Crossfit days.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I did my first Crossfit comp this past weekend. Placed 5th in the scaled level. I can do the intermediate weights but I am not proficient in some of the other things like pullups and double unders.
What are you training for? Date? Kiawah 12/13/14 and a Turkey Trot 5k
Training plan for the week? It's peak week! M - 5 mi easy Tu - speed work: either Yassos or a ladder, not sure yet, total of 10 mi W - lifting, yoga Th - 6 mi easy F - running club w/DD Sa - 22 mi Su - recover 2-3 mi
Any issues or vents? It's still icy, so the only place I can run is sidewalks. Ouchie for my shins and back. It's supposed to get back in the 50s this week, so hopefully that will help.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I broke 1000 miles for the year! Which is extra awesome, considering I ran only about 40 miles in Jan and Feb combined.
What are you training for? Date? Kiawah Half 12/13 (I think) every now and then I get a crazy idea of running the full
Training plan for the week?I'm kind of at a loss. I wasn't expecting to feel so lost post-marathon. But here's what I'm thinking. Mon -Wed -Rest, Thur - short run + weight training, Fri- maybe a fitness class? or a run?, Sat - 4mi + weight training, Sun - 8mi
This is all subject to change.
Any issues or vents?I've had a hard time planning my next steps fitness-wise since work has been busy. That's usually when I do my plans.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I ran my second marathon and BQed with a 3:29:22.
What are you training for? Date? The only race on the calendar right now is the Burn the Bird 5k on Thanksgiving.
Training plan for the week? I don't have a plan. Run 4-5 days this week.
Any issues or vents? I still feel so slow. It gets me down when I see my Garmin times.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I met up with a friend and we did 5 miles together yesterday. We both have had a rough go of it lately in the sense of working back from setbacks. It was slow, but it was nice to just get out there and ignore what our pace was. It was much needed.
What are you training for? 2 mile run/race with my DH Date? Feb 2015
Training plan for the week? I ran two miles last night and somehow injured both knees so I'm going to attempt to walk out those two miles on Wed and Friday so I don't completely blow my week.
Any issues or vents? Knees, WTF did I do?
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I think I finally have my breathing down. I'm definitely not sucking eggs at any point of my run.
What are you training for? Date? Cyclocross, ongoing. About 4-5 more races before the end of the regular season the NATIONAL CYCLOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS are in mid-Jan.
Training plan for the week? Sat.-Sunday: Race Monday: Off/massage Tuesday: 60 minute trainer ride with intervals Wed.: 60 minute recovery trainer ride Thursday: 60 minute moderate trainer ride Friday: Off Sat.: 60-90 minute ride with openers Sunday: race
Any issues or vents? not really
Highlights or AW's from the past week? 2 tops 10s from last weekend's races. Meeting with the attorney on Wed. to finally get this thing done!
What are you training for? Date? - Charleston Half 1/17 (plus a turkey trot, another 5k on 12/6, and maybe a 10k in December)
Training plan for the week? M - rest (yoga video) T - 3 mile run. Not sure if this is going to happen. I didn't get out this AM and I have to work late tonight. At the very least I'll get on the bike. W - 4 miles Th - 3 miles F - Rest and driving 4 hours to visit my college BFF's Sa - 7 miles, hungover, with BFF's who are both much faster than me. In an area with some seriously painful hills. Wish me luck. Su - XT - Living room bike when we get home
Any issues or vents? I was getting what I thought were shin splints, so I was taking it easy and stretching and so forth. Those seemed to be going away no problem, but then halfway through my 6 miles on Sunday my right foot started to really hurt across the arch. Still hurts. Mostly after I get home and take my work shoes off. Doesn't hurt at all with my work shoes on though. I really struggle with figuring out what is a real thing that needs to be rested and what is just a random pain that I can safely ignore and run through.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Not really. Monday yoga is getting easier, which is cool. Still wobble all over the damn place on any one legged poses, but I can feel a difference from the beginning of the video to the end in how loose I am.

Space Coast half in 12 days
Training - I'm screwed. See below.
Issues/Vents - I've been dealing with PF since Feb. It was more or less under control. A few minor flare ups here and there that were frustrating but I could handle them with whining, stretching, etc. Well almost two weeks ago I had a flare up that made anything in the past look like peanuts. Went to my sports chiro, we worked through it, was doing all the things I'm supposed to do but I have a half in days and I really needed some more mileage. I tried a different pair of shoes on Saturday. I didn't do that many miles, things were ok. Something happened after mile five that just sent me over the edge and I was done. Went home did all of my things, ran a few errands, it hurt but it was getting better. Sunday I got up from the couch and tried to walk too fast, excoriating pain shot up my leg. The planta ----- tendon on my left foot swelled up. I already had an apt with my doc on Monday. Went to see him, he's worried. If he's worried I'm FREAKED OUT. I go back tomorrow. The swelling has gone down significantly so I'm hoping I don't need an MRI, he was worried I tore my tendon but with the improvement I don't think that's the case anymore. BUT WHAT AM I GOING TO DO ABOUT MY RACE?!?!? H has mentioned a few times since Saturday that I should stop running. I don't know what to do. Space Coast is going to be an utter wash if I can run it at all. I'm in a panic.
M: rest T: 3 W: 3.5 or 4 Th: 4 or 5 Fr: rest Sat: 10-12
I'm not following a plan, I'm just making sure I'm getting some somewhat decent mileage in. My hips and hamstrings are a little tight, but nothing I can't handle.
