We have a shorter than average space and I managed to find a counter depth Kitchen Aid french door fridge that juuuuust barely fit. Counter depth are $$$ though. Ours was only affordable because it had a small ding, so it was scratch & dent.

Do you happen to have a link to someone that sells the same/similar model?
$1600 MSRP but these days you'll probably get it for a few hundred dollars lower because most retailers have good sales going due to upcoming Black Friday (but maybe wait until next week to buy just in case?). We went through a friend in the appliance business and got a great deal on it.
I actually just posed this question a couple of weeks ago looking for a short French door fridge but it turns out DH measured wrong. We still opted for a shorter-than-average fridge though, but I recall Samsung French door fridges being the shortest overall as a brand before I discovered the incorrect measurement, so take a look at those. My ILs have a Samsung French door fridge and we just moved out after living with them in between closings for a few months and it's a great fridge, I just don't know which model number they have.
What's the height of your fridge space?
ETA: I should add that this fridge we have is NOT smudgeproof. I do regret that part given that we have a 13.5-month-old but so far it doesn't irk me too much.
A good place to search online is AJ Madison. www.ajmadison.com/refrigerators You can search by height, width, depth, or all of them, in addition to other features. It is a good resource.
Your local appliance store could help you find the model you want, and could suggest models for you based on your needs. I always push local appliance stores. In my experience they give pretty good deals and great customer service.

Ours is > 6 years old, so I'd be guessing at current models. It was a KA Architect II counter depth fridge with an unusually small volume, maybe 16-17 cu ft. Not sure if that helps.

I've owned one like this in slate for the last 20 mos and can't say enough good about it.
Ooh timely post for us too b/c we're looking. We have a standard fridge and I was hoping to find a good french door or bottom freezer option. You can search my dimensions on the Home Depot website too. I'm dismayed at how few rench door type refrigerators there are for standard size fridge spaces (most seem to be 33" wide).

Also, I mismeasured, and it was just the hinges of my french door fridge that didn't quite fit. The contractors cut out the bottom of the cabinet. You can barely tell, and it's still functional. I have a thread about it pretty recently if you want to look back in my profile.

This fridge looks like it would work!
The space is 68.25 inches, but the cabinet is small and the hinge can stick out above this.
If I could slightly impose, would you mind measuring to see how far your fridge protrudes from the wall? (i.e., actual depth). I was looking at that fridge and I like it but I'm afraid it might be too deep.
DH and I have looked so long for a SS fridge that would work in our space but we're having trouble finding options. We have a galley kitchen so we'd really love a counter depth (e.g., 26") but we don't have a wide space. There are "dream" built in refrigerators like sub zero would work but they're insanely expensive. So we'll accept a fridge that sticks out a bit but any farther than our current standard depth fridge would be too obtrusive.

30" without the handle. 32 3/4" including the handle We have it about 1 1/4" away from the wall so from wall to handle it sticks out approx 33 3/4" total. Does all of that make sense? It does stick out more than our ancient fridge but we got used to it really fast. We don't notice the extra 2" more depth. And we have a small galley kitchen as well.

We were just looking at a smaller counter-depth fridge that is on sale at Home Depot right now for black Friday stuff - only $998 and might be what you'd want.
