We are going up to my mom's this weekend for an early Thanksgiving/late birthday thing. She asked me what kind of cake I want and I told her funfetti. She asked me if she could buy a cake instead because she wants me to have a pretty cake. This is fine. I asked for funfetti because I thought it might be cheaper/easier for her. So, when she asked me if she could buy a cake, I told her that was fine if that's what she wants to do, but not to go to Fred Meyer because their frosting is gross and I would hate it. Then I felt like I sounded like a total brat. But seriously, I HATE Fred Meyer frosting and I love cake and if she were to get me a Fred Meyer cake I would hate it. I know she'd want to get me something I'd like for my birthday and cake is my #1 friend, but am I being a punk for being specific about this? It's too late, I already did, and I know my mom doesn't think I'm a punk, but am I?
No. fM frosting is really gross, I don't know what they dooooo!!!!! She wants you to have a pretty cake but I'm sure she also wants you to have one that you think tastes good, so you're not a brat for stating the store bought cake she shouldn't get. brat would be pitching a fit because ONLY her making Funfetti cake would be acceptable.
(Safeway is my fav!)
