I noticed the front of DD's hair was kind of weird and spiky when I was styling it this morning. After a little questioning she admitted to cutting it last night. She then directed me to clump of hair in her bedroom closet.
I wanted to be upset, but was trying to stiffle my laughter. I did something similar when I was her age. FYI, safety scissors can still cut hair.

I had to laugh when DD1 did it at 5. I did not laugh when she decided to give herself bangs at 7 though. Hah.

My DS cut his hair at 5, two days before we were scheduled to have family pictures taken. There was a big arch in the front where his bangs had been straight across. He kept say, "But, Mommy, mow it looks like a rainbow!" That kid. Fortunately, it was the beginning of summer, so he just had a very short haircut for that summer. DD doing it would be much worse.
