So most of my Christmas list is H&F related gear. Want to help me narrow down brand/model?
GPS watch Headlamp (want lightweight, low-profile, bright, long lasting battery...the one I have now is huge and doesn't conform to my head well, so I'm sore after wearing it) Ear warmers/headband (I sweat a LOT and always soak the one I have from LLL leaving my ears very cold by the end of a long run) Hydration belt Windproof jacket
labbie, thanks for the rec. This looks to be about the same size as what I'm currently using, so I was hoping for something smaller. My current light takes 2 AAA batteries, and this one takes 3, so I can't imagine it being any smaller.
I am interested in hearing how you like it, though, so please report back!

GPS watch - Love my Garmin - no feedback on others. Model is going to be dependent on how fancy you want it. I started with the 110 and now have a 210. I was fine with the 110, but like some of the features of the 210. I don't do anything serious enough to need more features. I would like the 220 because it looks cooler, though Headlamp (want lightweight, low-profile, bright, long lasting battery...the one I have now is huge and doesn't conform to my head well, so I'm sore after wearing it) - I'm not help here. I just have the cheapies from Costco Ear warmers/headband (I sweat a LOT and always soak the one I have from LLL leaving my ears very cold by the end of a long run) - I have a wicking one from Athleta - bonus: it has reflective decals Hydration belt - How far are you running? I have the Nathan Speed 4 (This One). It was great for summer marathon training. Even with all four filled, it didn't bounce around a lot on me. Windproof jacket - Also no help here, sorry

GPS watch - I have a Garmin 220 and love it. It's pretty and has a lot of nice features that I do (not) use. Headlamp (want lightweight, low-profile, bright, long lasting battery...the one I have now is huge and doesn't conform to my head well, so I'm sore after wearing it) - I bought one at REI, it's okay but is kind of heavy. If I wear a hat with it it fits much better. Ear warmers/headband (I sweat a LOT and always soak the one I have from LLL leaving my ears very cold by the end of a long run) - I wear a cheap one from WalMart Hydration belt - I have the Nathan Trail Mix Hydration belt. I bought the one with 2 bottles and ended up adding a 3rd during my half training during the summer. I will probably need a 4th to get me thru marathon training this summer Windproof jacket - I have a Columbia jacket from Sports Authority that I've worn and has worked well in the past. I think it is this one www.sportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12904344&view=grid
