Is anyone here planning on doing the Runners World? I read about it in the most recent issue of Runners World and thought it sounded fun. You run at least a mile every day from thanksgiving through New Years and post pics and stuff to social media using #rwstreak. I am going to be traveling around New Zealand basically that whole time so I thought it would make a fun way to document the trip. If anyone else does from here, it might be a fun way to get to know each other!
I did the RW's one from Memorial Day until 4th of July. It was good. I tried to the one over the holidays once but did not finish. I got sick and just couldn't do it. Since I am training for a marathon right now, I am not doing the streaking challenge. I need the rest days. But it would be a fun way for you to document your travels. GL!

We had a July streak on the board w/ daily check in. It was fun! That said, I am most definitely NOT in this time
Oh good idea. I don't know if I will be able to host daily check-in's since I'll be traveling and I can't guarantee how reliable my internet will be. But if someone else wants to host them, that would be fun!
Regardless, I'll post my run pics to Instagram with the hashtag. I'll post next week and share my IG username and anyone who wants to, can join in! breezy8407boston340Mushe

I'm out for this month, still training for Kiawah. But if anyone wants to do one in February/March/April let me know I will need some motivation then I think unless I can find a half to do.

I don't want to drive myself crazy, but I do need a little motivation over cold December before spring race training really starts.
Last year I sort of did the RW holiday streak. I told myself I had to run 25 times between Thanksgiving - New Year, which worked out to about 6 days/ week. Maybe I will try for that again...

I'm sorta going to do it--I have a half on 12/6, so running a mile everyday before & immediately after is not the best. But I plan to do a mile (either walking the dog or running) + 20 minutes of yoga (yoga download podcasts) every day between Thanksgiving and New Years.
