My husband and I will be in Charleston next weekend - sans little one (just the two of us for the first time since she was born!) - and I want us to do a few runs together. Probably 5-6 miles. Can anyone suggest a good/fun/safe place to run? If you have a favorite route or trail, please let me know! Thanks!

The Ravenel Bridge (also known as the Cooper River Bridge) has a great bike/pedestrian path. I think it's a couple miles one way. The views are spectacular from the bridge.
I just looked this up and it's perfect! Thank you so much!! I'm really excited.
One more question if you don't mind, we're not looking for anything overly expensive or fancy, but do you know of any must-visit restaurants? So far I've got these on my radar:

When are you going? This coming weekend or the weekend after Thanksgiving? I am going to be there Saturday to Saturday. Are you staying downtown?
We really like Taco Boy on Folly Beach (which is also where Lost Dog is). It's got kind of a loud bar-like atmosphere. We had a fantastic dinner at Eli's Table in January. It's more fine dining though. We LOVE D'Allesandro's Pizza. I love seafood, but my husband is allergic to shellfish, so don't eat a lot of it. I will second your recommendations for Hominy Grill (my BFF lived just next door to it when she was in medical school) and Lost Dog. We had breakfast at Lost Dog - YUM! There is a place in Mount Pleasant called Paige's Okra Grill that is a traditional Southern meat and three type restaurant with fantastic food. It's definitely nothing fancy though.
Omg, I'm already hungry for all of this. I'll check out all those menus - thank you!!
We'll be there 11/28-29. My parents live in Myrtle, so we're going down for Thanksgiving, and taking the opportunity to let them watch my daughter for a couple of days. We Pricelined a hotel and they put us on the other side of the Ashley River. I was a little disappointed, but it looks like it's still really close to everything.
I just looked up the menu for Page's Okra Grill and had to stop myself from licking my computer screen. Ohmygod. I'm thinking an early morning run followed by breakfast there. Pimento cheese breakfast sandwiches, shrimp omelets, salmon breakfast fillet??? I just might eat myself to death.
