I've been posting here and there for a few weeks now, but finally feel confident enough to post an actual intro. This is my second pregnancy, DD is a little over 1 and a half. We were team green all the way with DD, and plan on being team green again this time around. DH and I have been married for 4 years now. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask, I'm never very good at introductions.
I had my 12 week appointment yesterday. At first they couldn't get a reading on my blood pressure, and then on the 3rd try it was really high. I can't remember the top number, but the bottom was 100. (I had high blood pressure from the beginning with DD so I was expecting it to come at some point). They agreed to try again after the appointment to see if it was correct. The dr tried to find the heartbeat using the doppler, but wasn't able to find it. I got rushed into the ultrasound room, where we saw the baby right away with the heartbeat going strong. The baby was moving around like crazy! Afterwards, they took my blood pressure again, and the bottom number was 104. So it's back on blood pressure meds for me until after birth.
Congratulations! I hope you're able to keep your blood pressure under control this pregnancy.
Thanks! With meds, it was fine until they very end and then it started to rise. I was also a week overdue, so they induced me just to be on the safe side. So hopefully since they caught it, the meds will do their job again. I cut out a lot of sodium from my diet when I was pregnant the first time, and haven't added it back, so I was hoping it wouldn't be an issue.
