So Monday at 840 I went in for my regular appointment. When I got there, my BP was 160/77. Before they did anything else they put me on the monitor to watch his activity with my blood pressure that high. After monitoring me for an hour or so she checked my fluid around the baby and my cervix. My cervix was not dialted but with the bp and the 6lbs gain in a week she wanted to induce me... so off the the hospital we went.
We went home grabbed some essentials and headed to the hospital. We got to the hospitsl around 1230 and I was hooked up and in a room at 1. The doctor came in to check and I was not dialated but before she gave me meds to help dialate me.
As I was hooked up everytime I had a contraction his heart rate dropped adn went crazy. At one point in time it went from 160 to 66 to 200 to 80 and they came running in... threw a oxygen mask on me and made me switch sides and do all these thing to get the pressure off of him. After a while he started to behave and they out meds on mt cervix to gelp it dialate.
I had the meds crkm 515 to 915 and the doc came back in.. said his hesrt rate was still misbehaving everytime I contracted and said that we ciuld do all this medicine to try and induce and have him vaginally but she was confident we were going to end up with a c section anyways so she called the doc to talk to me about the surgery.
I walked back.. got my spinal meds... my entire waist down went numb and in they went.. within 20 minutes I heard him cry. The worst part was I wasnt able to hold him because they were still working on me.. they cleaned him up.. checked him out and gave him yo my DH who sat next to me with him.
We found out that the reason he was having issues was the cord was wrapped around his neck and body.
They finished me up and wheeled me out.
My pressure was outrageous and it was scary for another moment.
So my story was a routine appointment turned induction turned csection.
I was there for 38 hours and they sent me home. Now I have a beautiful baby boy.
He was 6lbs 15 oz 19 1/2 inches long. His name is Log.an Mich.ael and I sm in love. I wish I could post a pic but its not working from my phone. I will have to post when I get the computer l.
Congratulations!! I always thought C-sections were automatic four or five-day hospital stays for some reason. I'm glad that's not the case and you got to go home quickly!

Thanks for sharing! Glad you are both healthy and recovery is going well.
Congrats!
Thanks. I never knee how quick you could fall in love. He is perfect.
Need good vibes today. His bilirubin level was borderline high yesterday so we are going to the doc today. His level needs to be the same or better so we dont have to keep checking it and end up in the hospital.
Congrats! What a wild and crazy day with a happy ending! Also thank you for sharing your c-section experience. It is encouraging to know that you were able to somewhat recover quickly enough for them to send you home so soon after!

believe me.. I am hurting but I can still walk and as long as I keep up on the oxycodon and motrin 800 its bearable. Worse part is getting up.
Congratulations! Glad you both are doing well...very impressive recovery! Praying your DS's appointment goes well today and your recovery continues to go smoothly!
