Yes, all the time. I buy a lot of stuff from FB yard sale boards as well. I can't pay full or even sale prices for kid clothes when they stain them all the time and grow out of them so quickly.

I've looked before but haven't found much that I need or would work for the season. I think once they're older and running around more I will though. However we also get a ton of hand me downs from friends.
H is weird about used clothing. I'm fine with it, especially for when they're itty bitty and growing quickly, but he's not on board. I usually can find tops and bottoms for $4-$5 a piece during the right sales at Carters and Target.
I ask because a few posters on CEP seem to think that wearing thrift-store clothes means your child will be teased "probably mercilessly" and will essentially resent you for it. I'm trying to imagine KHC being able to even remember where I got his clothes. He doesn't even ask.
Well, yeah. If you're in a John Hughes movie and/or one of the Boxcar Children.
At thrift stores, yes, all the time. In fact, my aunt just brought over a bag of clothes for DS yesterday, including a winter coat, shoes, and snow pants. He grows so quickly, I'm not paying a ton for stuff like that.
Oh Jesus. That's insanity. My DS is only two but at OUAC I see stuff from last season in the usual kid brands (i notice because DS has that shirt and has just outgrown it). It's not like wearing grandma's clothes in the macklemore song for crying out loud.
I get most of their clothes at the seasonal children consignment sales. I bought 3 winter coats/gloves/hats for less than $30. One of the sets of hat/gloves had the tags on it.
I used to go to Once Upon A Child a lot, but as the girls get older, the clothing selection sucks. I can get Hannah Anderson, Justice (eh), Gymboree, Gap, American Eagle, etc for so cheap at the consignment sales. I spent $120 in September and outfitted the 3 younger ones for most of the fall/winter with basics.
I am generally unwilling to spend the time digging though the racks at the Goodwill by my house because they group things by color and not size and ain't nobody got time to search through that. I have bought things for her at a local kids thrift store, but again it's all about time for me. It's just easier to buy her things when I'm at Target buying other groceries rather than making a separate clothes shopping trip.

Not often.
I've found stuff at Once Upon a Child. We had a store that was positioning itself as a "high-end" store for children's used clothes, plus selling other locally made stuff like bibs, etc. as a kind of outlet for Etsy-type sellers. I liked it, but it only lasted about a year before it went out of business.
With two girls, though, I often just buy new because I know both of them will end up wearing the vast majority of what I buy. My kids don't trash clothing very often for whatever reason -- most of what DD1 wears is perfectly fine for DD2. And DD2 has a huge pile of clothes she can wear, so I'm okay with putting more money into DD1's clothes because again, I know we're going to get a lot of use out of them by the time they both outgrow something.
I like buying used kids sweaters when I can. New sweaters can be super expensive.

Yes I do. I shop garage sales and accept hand me downs. My kids are doomed I guess.
My oldest is almost 9 and just really starting to have an opinion about brand/style of clothes. She still doesn't care if her clothes are new or just new to her.
Except for special occasion clothes, pretty much all my kids stuff is either hand me downs or bought at consignment sales/ fb garage sale groups. I can't do Goodwill, though, because the one local to me organizes their clothes by color, not by size. Ain't nobody got time for that.
We have a really great place that sells nice quality stuff. I suprisingly can even find nice things for Jack.
I stop at least once a month to just see what they have.
I even get Jack's soccer cleats 2nd hand. He grows out of them by the season and that must be the case for the first owner because they are always in great shape.
I do buy Jack regular shoes new. He is so hard on them.

Once Upon a Child is my favorite store. Crewcuts dress for $10? Okay. I have to buy two of everything because they wear the same size, so I love to stock up there. I also have the added benefit of not having to worry about seasons, so I can buy stuff in larger sizes when I see good stuff, knowing that they'll grow into it eventually. I find stuff new with tags all the time.
Consignment sales but with 2 boys the amount and condition is hard. I did score an amazing Columbia fleece and a few vests though. The best stuff I find is - sweatshirts, fleeces, and the occasional coat. Pants, shirts, sweaters, etc are few and far between.
No. I've never found anything better quality or more inexpensive than I can get at Old Navy or gap on sale. Maybe my local consignment store is doing it wrong.
