I know a kid whose middle name is Arian after Arian Foster (pronounced Aryan). His dad insisted and his poor mom gave in. I guess he's just lucky he has a normal first name.

I feel like most people we know have said this about my kids lol
I gave real props to the secretary who took Joey's registration information today. I barely saw the flash of confusion in her eyes when she got to his middle name.
Perhaps but the dad calls him Arian 100% of the time. Even though no one else does. That's weird to me. Your kids' names seem more like fun stories they have.

Until you were taking about naming Mallory I seriously thought Joey's middle name was a cutest nickname
Is there a special meaning or are they just names you liked?
Yes and No?
With Joey, DH and I argued about names constantly and he'd suggest ridiculous things to get me annoyed. He said Pterodactyl one day and I snapped and said I was done and that was his name. So he was Baby Pterodactyl the second half of the pregnancy. When he was born it felt wrong to change it so we made it his middle name so he can still get a job some day.
With Mallory we couldn't really use something normal after her brother. DH kept getting obsessed with Tsunami and I told him we weren't naming her after a natural disaster, and nothing that sounds like it either so no Samurai or anything like that. Then a few minutes later we looked at each other and I said, "Okay, Samurai is kind of awesome actually...." and it stuck.
That's awesome! I never heard the story behind it.
Last year in the Kindergarten class at DD's school there were THREE girls names Reagan. There were only 25 kids in the class so assume maybe at most there would be 15 girls. that's 20% of the girls named Reagan. No other Reagans in the school. I wonder what happened that year to make it a popular name.

My dad had 7 Davids in his kindergarten class. Seven! It was common across the board, though.

In high school I worked at a grocery store. There were 3 Christines, they would alway put us on registrars next to each other as well. It was sometimes very confusing.
