I am decorating our Christmas tree (don't judge, we will be out of town until 12/1 and I did it to surprise H since he mentioned it would be wonderful if Elves came in and decorated our house for Christmas while we were gone).
So, the question is: if your tree is against a wall, do you decorate the back of the tree? or just the 3/4 of the tree people will see?
Our goes into a corner. Lights go all the way around. 90% of the decor goes on the parts that people can see 10% goes on the back facing the window. In case betty wants to look at the ornaments while she's outside peeing
No. Ours gets shoved into a corner depending how bushy the tree we get is so no room to do the parts no one sees. I put lights as far as I can reach towards the back but no ornaments.
Always decorate the side against the wall, especially since we have a fake tree and with the conical nature, you would definitely see if the top 2/3 didn't have ornaments. We just put the ones we don't like as much on the bottom 2/3 (but still some of my Swarovski snowflakes on the back top 1/3 since you can see that well and I have a lot of snowflakes at this point that have to be kept out of Ivan's reach. However, we also leave at least 2" gap between the tree and the wall so that it doesn't mark and prevents the cat from ruining things as he WILL insist on squeezing back there.
