My favorite were gift cards to local good lunch places. Target and Starbucks were also good. I normally got $5-25, 5th grade in a very low income school.
I give $25-50 for DD's teachers. More if I give on my own, less if it's part of a class gift.
Target! It's usually $10 or so. I also like Cold Stone or Panera. I HATE getting Starbucks cards--I've been in a Starbucks exactly twice in my whole life, and both times it was to combine a bunch of small denomination gift cards into one large one to sell online.
Dunkin Donuts/Starbucks (but this is specific to me, I know not everyone likes coffee), usually $10 or $25 Target - Also usually $10 or $25 Once I got a gift card to Macy's for $50
I usually get a bunch of teacher mugs (which I appreciate but don't use because I collect and only use 1 brand of mug), cookies/candy, or candles (which I can't use because most jar candles give me a headache).
What's your favorite store to receive a gift card from?
What is the typical amount you receive?
My favorites are Target, Amazon, and gc to the local mall.
I typically get anywhere from $10 to $100, with $25 being the most typical. Some kids give me nothing, some gift me a card and a homemade gift, some give me a book. It's all appreciated (except baked goods. Not appreciated.).

Target, Amazon and Visa are the favorites, but if have gotten them to lots of different places. They usually range between 5 and 25 dollars but I have gotten larger ones before from parents or from classes. I know people differ on this, but it makes me uncomfortable to receive gift cards for larger amounts, or expensive gifts. And at my current center we are not allowed to accept gifts that are more than 25.00.

I teach HS, so it's not really the norm to give holiday gifts like at the elementary.
But I would LOVE gift cards from the local teacher supply store, Starbucks, Target, Amazon, etc. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Our mosquito sprayers from this summer sent us a $5 SBux gift card as a thank you and it made my day.

I get $10 - $50 for target, walmart, and restaurants. I got a gas card once and loved it.
Here's what I would freakin LOVE though. Like $100 to starbucks. From all the parents in the class. Just make it so I don't have to check that balance til the end of the year. Lattes and croissants anywhere anytime. lol.
Target, Sonic, Subway (because it's close to my school and we can get there and back in the 25 minutes we have for lunch). I don't ever go to Starbuck's, so I usually give those away.
Amazon, walmart/target, BN. My students love books and would love gift cards to buy them even more. Dunkin Donuts, partly because I don't like Starbucks and partly because there is are two Dunkins half a block from school, in addition to the two I pass on the way to school.
Amazon, Target, or Starbucks. I also teach secondary, so of I get a gift at all it's in the 5-10 dollar range, since they are provably buying for 4-5 other teachers.

I would love amazon because I'm constantly buying books and things for my classroom. I just bought a steam mop from there in hopes that I can clean my classroom mats.
I usually give Tim Horton's or Starbucks, and some candy from a local shop.
