In the Whitesnake song, I thought they were singing, "Like a twister I was born to roam alone" instead of drifter. It made sense to me because who wants to hang out with a dangerous-ass tornado. Nope.
"I'm just sippin' on camel milk" -I'm just sippin' on chamomile (overheard at a bar, not my thoughts)
Take your cap and leave my sweater sounds familiar. Was it sampled from something else? Am I just thinking Weezer and am totally off base? I've not heard the Keith Urban version.

I hear "gather all my Starbucks lovers" I actually figured it was some kind of new term I hadn't heard since I'm not very with it. Like maybe lovers you pick up at a coffee house, or ones that you consume quickly and dispose of. I think we should try and make it a new term for flings.
When my brother was little, he thought the lyrics to the Bee Gee's "Stayin' Alive" were about coloring. "Ah, ah, ah, ah, stay in the lines, stay in the lines."
I thought it was take your cat and leave my sweater. I'm kinda sad that it isn't
Maybe that's it! Now I have to look! I was just always teased by my best friend about it, but I took her word for it. I will be happy if it involves cats, lol.
ETA: Googled. According to metrolyrics.com, it's take your CAP and leave my sweater.
Up until a year or 2 ago, I thought Paula Cole was asking "Where is my job's pain? Where is my furry son?" instead of "Where is my John Wayne? Where is my prairie song?"
