We used a new babysitter tonight. She came recommended by a friend. We have only ever used our nanny or family. Both kids didn't get to sleep til 9 (even though I told her ds1 should be in bed at 7 cuz he didn't nap today). Ds2 (3 months) was in a regular diaper even though i put out a night one and it was still there. No sleep sack, same as diaper. The fan in his room on high and a heavy blanket over him. I'm going to have to write our rules if we ever use her again. I had high hopes cuz we could really use another babysitter.
Um.... yeah I could never use her again. A fucking blanket? Seriously? Someone who is watching a freaking infant should know that's a bad idea.

I'm at a wedding drunk. Groom(just met$ says "I don't want kids but it's up to bride. I won't be home much anyway (he is cop)." Oookay. I give it two years.

DD stopped to stomp on some chunks of snow as we were leaving the library today, so I just stood there and watched for awhile. An old lady said, "You sure are a patient mother. That's so nice to see." I almost cried because I haven't been feeling like a patient mother AT ALL lately, but that lady's comment made me realize how many little moments like that there are every day.

omg i pray it's not. it is awful. i felt like we had to quarantine him a few weeks ago when he got it and his face and extremities blistered badly. i hope this doesn't happen to your dd.
She has 5 white blisters on one hand and 2 on the other. And a wicked diaper rash. I hope it's not HFM, but I am not holding my breath.

did she fever yesterday or the day before? the blistering on those spots is kind of a dead giveaway, but i'm no doctor. ps noah had a diaper rash too, when the blisters didn't turn into blisters yet, just looked like rashy bumps. ugh, so sorry.
MyGym instructor yesterday said she felt warm, but I didn't think so. *shrugs* If so, sorry MyGymers! oops. I called the doctor and the nurse said I could bring her in if I wanted, but it sounded like HFM.

noah had a low grade fever a few hours one day and nothing the next, iirc. and ughhhh the day prior to that we were at this play place with a TON of kids everywhere. i'm almost sure he probably exposed a ton of kids but there's no way to know they are contagious at that time.
hope she doesn't have it!
Well, now I'm just going to assume that he gave it to some kid who gave it to another who brought it up here to the SFV!
I asked C if he wanted his puppy nightlight on tonight and he said "no. I tired."
What does bronchitis feel like? I am beginning to feel like this month long wheezy cough C and I have is possibly more than just a cough.
I need a good veggie side to add to our Thanksgiving dinner because right now it's very beige and carby. Anyone have a good carrot or broccoli recipe? The ILs aren't adventurous with veggies.
I was going to list ingredients for a veggie side one of my mom's friends used to make, but I realized it's basically green bean casserole with broccoli instead of green beans. ☺️Still, it was one of my favorites as a kid, and I was already not a picky eater wrt vegetables.
