31, after I had David. Pregnancy did no favors for my eyesight and as the years have passed (I'm 37) it has gotten SO BAD. I went from far-sighted to no-sighted.
ETA: I knew it was time for reading glasses when I had to ask the young lady behind the counter at the hair supply store to read the instructions on the bottle of hair care product. ::sigh::

I'm late twenties and have never needed glasses before now but recently my eyes have been bothering me more and more. I think I need to go get them checked soon. Ugh.

It also could have just been age, too. It's just that I had perfect vision until I had David, and a slew of (minor) health problems seemed to follow after pregnancy. It could all very well be turning 30 OR pregnancy. I never could pinpoint it. But yeah, vision has been declining since 30 when I previously had perfect vision.
27. I got my LASIK done at 23. I'm pleased I can see my hand in front of my face now, which I could barely do before the LASIK, but my vision is definitely not perfect.
I needed them for when I had my contacts in at about 43ish, I think.
I do fine when I just have my glasses on for regular reading but for close up work (like threading needles), I have to take my glasses off and just use my unassisted eyes.
I am 41 and I think I will need something soon. I have a hard time adjusting when I look from one thing close to another far away. When I am on the laptop and look up at the tv, it takes my eyes a few seconds longer than before to adjust clearly.

In late 30's for some people, 40's for most, and 50's for the lucky few we develop presbopiya. You loose the ability to accommodate. It sucks. I'm 27 and because I have convergence issues I know I'll be there about 35. I've worn glasses for distance since I was 10. I have a 'baby' progressive in a pair of my glasses right now to see if cutting back the Rx in my read would help. Right now it really just annoys me. I do have readers for over my contacts though and have since 25.

Farsighted people generally need additional help for close work a few years earlier than the nearsighted. On average i expect my farsighted patients to require an add power on their Rx (meaning a bifocal) aroud age 38-40. Nearsighted people just kick a little power out of their distance Rx first and the add power isn't needed until 42-44, sometimes even later. On average. This isn't a hard and fast rule.
