DH and I travel and have decided noise canceling headphones would be nice for long haul and red eye flights. Do you have a brand or style you would recommend? Thanks!
Audio technica from amazon. Less expensive to try before diving into Bose.
I have these, too. They're great. I've had mine for about five years now and am about to replace them with a new pair. The leather on the ear coverings is starting to come apart, but I've used them on 70-80 long trips. So I feel like they've help up well, considering.
I have had both the Able Planet ones and the Bose. I ended up giving the Able Planet ones to my FIL because they hurt my ears. My rec is definitely Bose, they are extremely spendy, but so worth it, especially if you travel more than once/twice per year.
We just got the Bose in ear ones and they are AMAZING! I had no idea how well they could work. It was amazing on the plane, although the guy sitting next to me kept trying to talk to me and I felt bad because I couldn't hear him at all. It was crazy, I could just see his lips moving.
Anyone seen noise-canceling headphones that go around the BACK of the head, rather than on top of the head? DH needs to mow while wearing a hat AND nc headphones. The foam disposable earplugs just aren't good enough for several hours of mowing.
Another vote for the Bose. They are fabulous. I bought them for MH as a gift a few years ago when he started traveling a lot for work. MH and I may need to Rock Paper Scissors for them next month when we go to London.
