Waiting for my running friend who is joining me for 12 of my last long run before taper!!!!! Woo! I had to plan my route to end at a local elementary because DD2 has a basketball game at 10:30.

I am awake but still in bed. Good news though - no fever this morning! I might get to leave for vacation today after all. I did skip my run this morning, which I don't feel at all bad about given how sick I was yesterday. Fingers crossed that I continue to feel well after I get out of bed.
I'm up, no h&f reason though. Couldn't sleep past 6. Testing my ankle sprain this weekend in hopes that I can get out there Monday and enjoy our 50 plus degree temps on my day off.
I'm up! Just got back from my trip Thursday. Man, jetlag is a bitch. I've been up since 3:30am. My goal today is to get in a 2hr nap at some point, so I can stay up until at least 10 tonight. I have to get myself back on a normal schedule by Monday so I can function properly at work. No real plans on the agenda for today. Unrelated, but I got my hair chopped yesterday and am loving it. But IDK WTF I'm supposed to do with it when I run.

I'm up, but nothing h&f for me today. We're hosting 20 people tonight for our annual friendsgiving so I'm cleaning and have to go run some errands before cooking a 22lb turkey. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow.
DD1 and I woke up early to see the start of the JFK50 miler. It was chilly, but fun. We hope to catch up to them later on the C&O trail. They are all on the AT now. Badass!

When you are better rested, I wanna hear about your trek!!
Will do! I will say that it was the hardest thing I've ever done (way harder for me than marathons) but it was sooooo awesome. I thought that I would have a pretty easy time with it and DH would struggle more since he's not so into H&F, but it was the complete opposite. The altitude kicked my ass and he handled it like a champ. We had perfect weather the whole time. Well, cold... but perfectly clear skies and no rain or snow. I am really glad that we switched our itinerary at the last minute because it ended up working out great.
I ran a 5k this morning and tested out the don't go out too fast strategy, it is overrated. I do better when I just run a fast first mile and hang on for dear life.
I've already been to the grocery store, Panera, and dropped off Starbucks for my neighbor who has a baby in the hospital. Now I'm cleaning up before company arrives.
I'm enjoying my coffee and contemplating how far I feel like running this morning. Its waaaaay windy out there, but high 40s and sunny. I will brave the wind for temps like that
It's Saturday night here. I'm watching rugby as my team (Australia) are playing my dh's (Ireland). I'm drinking Prosecco. Yes, I'm racing tomorrow but I tend to do better with a mild hangover.
We'll have pasta and then go to see Christina Perri then an earlyish night for me since I have the half tomorrow. I'll be driving the 2 hours to that alone since DH is doing work on the house. Little bit bummed but it's okay.

Only made it 8.5 miles this morning. It was windy and my legs felt like lead. They just wouldn't turn over. My phone died an hour into my run as well. Not sure what is up with that. Not a good run, but I did it.
22.1 for my final long run! That's my longest training run ever, I think. It was nuts...15.5 with my partner, then 3.5 busting ass (sub-8 pace) to get to my kid's basketball game, then 3 miles home. I was going to bail at 19, especially since I basically took a 40 minute break, but needed to do it, ya know?
