So, I had plans for knitting scarves for the kids DC teachers. Well, one left after halloween (new job), 2 had babies & won't be around, and one had personal family issues & not sure when she is coming back. So, WTF do I do now? Just generic gifts, right? Ugh. I honestly don't remember the new teachers names quite yet, let alone their personalities & likes/dislike. :?

I would not get a gc or gifts for teachers that new (I am a teacher). I would do something like Panera bagels, parents have done this for us before and it was a hit.
I'm a teacher and I would love this. It would make my day.
So, should I ask them what a good day would be for this? Or just surprise them?
Sorry, just saw this question. Honestly, just surprising if fine if that's what you want to do, but we usually get a day or two head's up. The office will send out a notice "XYZ student's parent is providing breakfast on Wednesday". I've also had surprise breakfast, and even if I've already eaten, something like bagels/pastries will always go, either for lunch or a snack sometime during the day. This is a really great idea.
