It sounds like a cutesy Pinteresty type party on paper.
In reality, the oatmeal-bar-only thing sounds like a mess.
My friend threw a Pinterest party that sounded totally lame--bring an app and craft you found on Pinterest and eat while you craft. In reality it was a lot of fun, but mainly because of the delicious food and alcohol, plus good company. Oatmeal doesn't qualify, IMO.
I might go if I really liked you, but I wouldn't be excited to eat oatmeal.
Yes, this would be me as well.
I think if you are only serving oatmeal, you should let people know that in advance. I'd want to eat something before I got to your place. I'd try the oatmeal, but probably wouldn't eat enough to be full.

I would go if a good friend was hosting, no matter what the theme was. I don't like oatmeal though, not even a little. It would be a good idea to have some other offerings. There would also never be a booze-free gathering of my friends so that wouldn't even be a consideration in my world.
I like oatmeal when I'm in my pajamas on cold mornings... it does not sound as appealing at 11 o'clock when I'm dressed. I would probably just drink and then eat lunch afterward.

I would offer other options for food and not just an oatmeal bar. Not everyone likes oatmeal. And if it's brunch, it would be nice to offer mimosas or bloody marys as well, even if you are not a drinker yourself.
I do love crafts, like, a lot. I might go. I don't like oatmeal though. lol. I think you should do something other than oatmeal. That's just my opinion.

Crafts? Yeah sure.
If I were invited to this, I would ask (and hope) that I could bring things like a fruit salad and some mimosa fixins. Or some bagels and cream cheese. Something in addition to oatmeal.
If I was invited to an "oatmeal party" framed as, "Hey come to my oatmeal bar." I'd give you the side eye, and would only come if you were a *really* good friend.
If you I was invited to brunch and crafts where there happened to be an oatmeal bar, along with lots of other brunch foods, I'd be fine with it. I love oatmeal, but if that's all there was, I'd be a little disappointed to be honest. I'd want bacon and quiche, and if practical something toasty and buttery to dip in my oatmeal.
I love oatmeal and would enjoy this. I would add yogurt for some simple diversification. They easily share many toppings. Toss in some pastries on the side if you're looking for something more with little effort.

I like oatmeal. I like crafts. I love my friends.
I'm a recovering alcoholic so it's not like my friends would bat an eye if I didn't serve alcohol. You can always make it BYOB or grab a bottle of champagne to mix with OJ if you feel like it's necessary but I don't think it is. If all you're serving is oatmeal, let them know so they can eat something before if they don't like it. Overall I think it sounds fun!
