I haven't! I tried honey stinger chews like a year ago and I think it was the flavor, but I didn't care for them. I have the clif shot blox to try, and I want to try the huma recommended above. I will look into those blends, I think I saw them at the grocery store.
I have never been a fuel user since in the past I would run a max of maybe 7 miles, but now that I'm training for my first half and hoping to do more long distance races this year I am trying to find what works best for me.

I currently have both the yogurt flavored wafers and chocolate flavor wafers and two fruit pouches and two pouches of blasts, as well as cookie dough and banana flavored energy bars (for before a workout or during a long bike ride).

I figured out today that it's official - I just can't do GU anymore. I did honey stingers chews, but what would you guys recommend that's easy to chew but gives more substance? I don't drink a ton of water but my stomach gets sloshy quite easily.
I hated the salted watermelon as it was way too sweet for me.
Salted caramel is my go to and I also recently (and loved!) the Gu Roctane lemonade which has extra electrolytes. It was very mild IMO and so it's easy to get down.

If you can't choke down a Gu, try Hammergel. A lot of people find it more palatable. I like several of their flavors. It's also thinner, which can make it easier to go down.

I use Powerbar gels. The consistency is so much better than Gu. Oddly enough, my favorite flavor (really, the only flavor that doesn't make me gag), is strawberry banana. I would have thought anything fake banana would make me hurl, but I've tried a lot of flavors (cannot do the sweet/desert like flavors) and it's the mildest one. I've had orange & tangerine type flavors & they're too strong/tangy, strawberry banana is pretty easy to get down. I also like the fact that they have both sodium & potassium. (More sodium than most gels & some other gels don't have any potassium at all). Not all of the gels are equal, nutrition wise. I only use gels & water, so I have to get all electrolytes from the gels.

Another salted caramel fan. Also caramel macchiato and vanilla. Vanilla isn't as sweet as I thought it would be. I can tolerate strawberry banana and peanut butter. I was actually a fan of root beer. I like to go for the ones than have salt and/or caffeine.
