My brother is engaged!! My brother who said he would NEVER get married proposed to his GF! Yay!!! We absolutely love my (soon-to-be) SIL, she is awesome. I'm so excited!
It's 8:30 and A and MH are still asleep! I've taken a nice hot shower, read my emails, and now am quietly sipping my coffee while I keep adding things to our Amazon wish lists.
I feel better now. Still tired, but a little more awake and less middle-of-a-college-all-nighter goofy.
I'm looking forward to getting home. I told DH not to tell Abby that I changed my flight, so as far as she knows, I'm getting in late tonight and she won't see me. Instead, when they get home from church and shopping, I'm going to be sitting at home waiting for them.
Somehow my laptop bag ended up covered in cat hair and I think it's activating my allergies.
H and I stayed up late last night and M woke up about 7:30 crying. Idk if she had a bad dream or what. I brought her in bed w us and told her it was still night night time and not time to get up yet. She fell back asleep for another 2 hours! I can't believe it actually worked.
H's fam has family dinner every Sunday and we are hosting today....so much cleaning and cooking to do I don't wanna!
I got Lily's cold and I can hardly speak, work should be interesting this week. Good thing it's only 2 days. The 9th graders have really been testing me, I need a break from them. They are really immature, loud and rude lately. I just need some space.
I slept so badly but DH let me sleep in and he took Lily somewhere. They came back with flowers, my favorite donut (that they had to get from a grocery store) and DD half caf coffee for me. It was so sweet. Lily gave me the flowers and said "feel all better mommy".
You guys are hilarious in the wee hours of the early morning.
I had a dream E just popped up and started walking and knocked 4 of her teeth out. We were trying to find an emergency pediatric dentist in the middle of night. What a bizarre dream. I also never dream which makes it even more weird.
I think I hurt my voice hosting my murder mystery show last night and now need to teach a singing class at 8:30 am. Yay. Then I get to go see Ian's show which I'm excited for.
Today is our FIFTEEN year anniversary of being together. Almost half my life.
I really hope the last several hours aren't a sign for how the rest of the day's going to go. Last night, the rowdy teenagers started back up again. And again. And again. By 10:30, I'd had enough (seeing as my alarm was set for 4), and requested a room change. They were accommodating and apologetic, but it was really annoying having to move all my bags down a floor just for 6 hours.Â
Less than 6, it turned out, because at 3:55 (did I mention the 4:00 alarm), my phone ran to tell me my cab was almost there. (huh) When I told him, no, it's for 4:30, he assured me his thing said 4. He did offer to wait 10-15 minutes, if I needed it (ya think??), but he did not, sadly, offer to come back to the time I told the dispatcher.Â
Then, when I got in, he offered me the "flat rate" of 45, and said the meter would probably be 50-55. I chose the meter, because everything I saw said it should cost 25-35. Fortunately, it paid off (get it? Sorry, I'm kind of punchy this early in the morning) and only cost 36, but it's annoying he tried to cheat me.Â
I'm up. That stinks katfco . While I love the uncaffeinated you, I hope that you were able to find some coffee
I can't blame the child or anyone else that I'm up except the one in my ute who was kicking my bladder at 6 am.
This belly occupant is kicking so hard at only 18 weeks. S/he got me yesterday with one that actually hurt. I'm scared because C didn't get me this hard for another ten weeks, and I had lingering rib pain in his favorite kicking spot for two years after he was born.
This adds to my husband's belief it's a girl because "you have unnaturally strong legs, BigApple." Umm, thanks?
Luke is sick with the hellish fever virus. His breathing was off and he was shaking in motn. Ugh I hope it's quick. We will be in bed all day and I'll be probing while H waits on us. Bummed because we had to cancel plans but I know it's right- he had a scary night

Sort of. No fever, but still horrendous coughs and Ruby is a snotty mess. I'm so over it! We had to cancel our plans today. Again.
boo to still being sick but hopefully the no fever means it's coming to an end. i hope you can get a break today- this has been an awful few weeks for you.
That Mr. Rodgers gif has me peeing my pants katfco!
I'm super hungover. And going to meet CKs parents this morning. Trying to get my game face on, but it's rough lol.
What are you wearing!
We met them for breakfast and CK was super casual, so I wore my J Brand legging jeans, black ballet flats, and my pink cashmere poncho sweater from Calypso. They were so sweet!
Afterwards I took matilda to starbucks for a venti coffee. For me. She had juice. There was another little girl in line behind us who was not being allowed a juice. Matilda kept saying "but I HAVE A JUICE!!!!" And sort of shaking it in her face. Omg
Putting our decorations out early was an awesome idea. I put a bunch of ornaments at the bottom of the tree that A can play with. She has spent hours playing with the ornaments.
Rhys is in the church nursery for the first time! I hope he's okay. Enjoying the break and actually able to pay attention. (I'm just missing announcements for this )

The Target cashier ID'ed me and told me I didn't look any older than 25. I burst out laughing, told him I must be hiding my gray hairs well, and thanked him.
Then he goes "yeah, I was born in '93" which made me feel OLD OLD OLD

So here I sit. Anyone else up?
Hope you are home safe! Was abby surprised? They're not home yet. I just got home and they're still out shopping.

I'm sure he'll be fine! Enjoy the baby-free service.
