A yoga student of mine who delivers the mail, said they do certain delivers on Sundays all the time now not just holidays. They changed it about a month or two again. Even fed holidays they deliver packages now too PO workers didn't get more pay for it either. I felt bad for her working all week now for nothing more.
I started wrapping Christmas presents at 2am last night. I don't know what it is, but i love love love wrapping presents. Also, last year I saw this gnome at cb2 but didn't get it because it was expensive. I had huge non-buyer's remorse (they sold out) and was thinking about it in like, July. They have them again this year so I am absolutely buying one, even though it is ridiculous.

There are actually two programs at play here, the year round Amazon Sunday delivery is only available in certain markets. The holiday program is nationwide, but the overall goal is seven day package delivery year round.
As a general rule the associates delivering Sunday packages are a different class of Postal Employees. All letter carriers get paid overtime if they work over 40 hours, just not if they are working on Sat or Sun as their scheduled day.

I'm super excited. I went to a party last night, where the hostess works for LBS. Back in August, I took this cycling clinic with a former pro cyclist. She was at said party and remembered me. She offered to send me all sorts of drills and tests for training this winter and invited me to come to some training "parties" she is hosting. She also told me that she was really impressed with my skill level given I just started cycling and said I had a lot of natural talent. Woot!
runblondie26 - I had a package delivered on a Sunday about a month ago. I was shocked too.
We think DD has strep (2 kids in her had it on Thursday). Yuck! Now I feel like I am getting sick. Not happy. HM on Thursday. Week 4 of marathon training starts tomorrow.
My triathlon club threw an end of the year party last night and I just think its so funny that police showed up (the average age of us is probably 50 years old!) But then the cop didn't even want to leave. He said he always wanted to be a triathlete but couldn't swim, haha.

Even Misty Hyman showed up!
I wore my heelys and fell and jammed my finger.
I don't even know how to respond to this, lol. Sounds like a sitcom.

My legs are super sore today from my run yesterday and then being on my feet all day. So I took the dog for a 3.5 mile walk at about a 15 min/mile pace. He did amazing, this is a huge deal for him/us. Usually he averages 18-20 min/mile and we only last about a mile before he stops and sits and refuses to go forward. He was having the time of his life. He's a golden retriever so he should like to run/walk but is so lazy sometimes.
I am on the final leg of our 15 hour road trip with a 2 year old! It has rained ever since we left Memphis this AM. Perfect snoozing weather....if only I could sleep in a moving car!
I'm so tired. I really need to go to sleep. I don't know why I'm still up. As much as I don't want to rush things, I am already looking forward to January, so things can slow down a bit. We had the marathon, then half a weekend to ourselves/half crazy weekend, then I traveled last week, had flight trouble and got stuck an extra night, we were out of town this weekend to take DH's mom to a football game, now it's Thanksgiving week , then we have house guests the next weekend, THEN Kiawah. Basically, the next time I don't have something is Dec 20th. Tis the season!
I have a somber reminder to be careful out on the roads. My coworkers aunt was struck by a car on Friday, while she was out for a run. She died yesterday. I'm so sad for my friend. She was hysterical when she got the call at work. Her aunt was like 2nd mom to her. A car ran a school bus stop sign and hit her. (Thankfully no kids involved.) Obviously IN NO WAY her fault, but I always say this to my running friends & will say it again. Never assume someone is stopping. Never assume someone sees you. Assume you are invisible to everyone out there. Please be safe.

Oh no, I hope you guys are feeling better today!
Yep, DD is just finishing up her round of Penicillin too. They sent home a note last Monday that strep was going around DD's school, and of course she came down with a sore throat and fever a couple days later. Luckily, DH was home to deal with it. I feel like we should have a standing appointment with our doctor. One of us seems to be there every week with something.
Somehow she was the only one not to get strep when DH, DS, and me had it a couple months ago. I hope the rest of your house is spared!
clseale - so sorry to hear about your friend's aunt. That scares me. I know I have been out running and thinking of course they see me. I need to remind myself more.
runblondie26 - I am feeling a little better this morning. I was a slug yesterday and had massive amounts of vitamin C. Ran 4 this morning, very easy and felt ok. More vitamin C today and hopefully I'll make it to the starting line healthy. I have high hopes for this HM.
