Because no one was interested in going with me, I saw the first 2 Hunger Games movies in the theater alone. Since I'm off from work this week I'm looking forward to going to a matinee. Does anyone plan on seeing it this week or did anyone go this weekend?

We had thought we were going last night, but I decided I didn't feel like waiting in line and sitting in a crowded movie theater lol. The last two HG movies we saw during the week after they had been out a month and it was so nice to be one of, like, 8 people in the theater. So I think we're going to wait.
I saw it this weekend. It was fine. Not my favorite, but not a complete waste of time either. I've read the books and seen the first two movies so I felt committed to seeing it

Can anyone tell me where they divided the book? I had a student asking me because she wanted to get to the part where the movie would end before seeing the movie. I told her I'd do some research for her
We saw it yesterday. I enjoyed it. It was interesting to see how they were able to translate it from the book. Now I can't wait for the next one. It was kind of bizarre to see Phillip Seymour Hoffman up there though. That was a sad moment.
the theater I frequent was ABSOLUTELY packed--no thanks. Like a PP mentioned, I'm waiting until it's been around for a month or so before I venture to see it.

I saw it on Friday and loved it, I will probably see it again. We went to a theater with reserved seats so I didn't have to worry about the getting there crazy early
We went to see it last night. Our theater wasn't very full at all, lots of empty seats. That could be because they had a million showings of it too. I'll be honest, I wasn't impressed with it and actually fell asleep at one point.
My brother said it was a waste of time. I wonder if people who haven't read the books don't like it because they are looking for more action and those who have read it do like it because they know how the story goes and the lack of action/conclusion isn't as big of a deal.

We saw it this morning at 11, the theatre had maybe 10-15 people in it. We went early to avoid any crowds. It was okay. DH didn't care for it, reiterated his hate of the on going split the last movie into two movies in the quest for more money trend.
