I was 17 weeks on Friday. This past week I thought I had been feeling the baby move a fair amount, but the past couple of days doesn't seem to be nearly as much. I do think I felt her at least twice yesterday, but I'm not 100% sure, but so far nothing today, but it's only 845am.
At 17 weeks babies are still a little fish in a big pond. They can position themselves many ways this early that you will not be able to feel movement. Even with dd2, because of placenta location I didn't feel her consistently until 24-25 weeks. Even laying down and drinking juice might not matter

I had a very similar experience (fish-flop feelings at least once or twice a day really early, then about 3 days in a row of nothing) right around 17/18 weeks. I was freaking out because even though I logically knew it was too early to feel anything with any regularity, I WAS feeling it and then it stopped.
Anyway, it started up again and now just within the last couple of days I'm feeling a lot more movement throughout the day, plus kicks in the bladder which is a whole new kind of weird. (I'm about 22 weeks now.) Still can't feel anything from the outside but I think we are getting close because it's getting stronger.
I think 17 weeks was the first time I started to feel movement, so that is pretty early for movement. I don't think you count kicks until third trimester?

I started feeling consistent flutters only at night at about 18 weeks. This was only at night when I was laying down. Try not to worry.
And AutumnRose25 I have psyched myself out the night before every appointment that this was going to be the end of the road. Try not to worry, either, but I get it.
Don't worry. My OB just told me on Wednesday not to freak out if I feel movement and then nothing for a day or two. She said they don't consistently move until 24 weeks. If you haven't had any other symptoms, I would say baby made itself comfortable for a bit.
I started feeling O and this one early too. About two weeks ago (26 weeks) I wasn't feeling this one move as much, but he had just changed positions and I was feeling the movements towards my back/bowels. Try not to worry about it, LO might be in a different spot. A friend of mine was told too that the weather can affect the baby's movements. She was told since it was getting colder, that was probably why she wasn't feeling as much movement.

Don't worry! The baby is still small enough to be changing locations a lot at this stage. Once they get more crammed in there, the movements are more consistent.
I'm 25 weeks and there's still times my baby varies his level of activity. Some days he kicks the crap out of me and others I'll feel a little something 2-3 times an hour and that's it.
