I'm doing the 25 books for advent and I'm so excited!! I need a few more including a "special" book for Ruby's 1st Christmas. For the past two for Violet, we have started a tradition of getting her a special Christmas book and writing a sappy message in the inside cover about the year and how much we love her, etc. So far we did "The Spirit of Christmas" and "Madeline's Christmas" for her so I can't reuse those. I bought "The Velveteen Rabbit" this year for Violet, but I didn't realize how long it was, so I may be saving it for the future.

We read the Grinch Who Stole Christmas as our Christmas Eve tradition! What about The Polar Express or The Night Before Christmas? Those never go out of style.
The ones we read every year are the Jan Brett illustrated "Night Before Christmas", "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "The Polar Express", "Snowmen at Night", and "the Twelve Days of Winter" (the last two are more winter themed than Christmas)
