I'll recommend a non-Christmas book for you though: Mossy. It's currently Audrey's favorite and the illustrations are sooo beautiful and it has tons of detail for her to obsess over.
I have an amazon wish list called "Christmas Books" to save them in when I come across them! Maybe my kids will end up with their own because I can't limit them!
Some of my favorites are: Jolly Postman Christmas (a little older) Olive the Other Reindeer The Gingerbread Boy The Gingerbread Girl Polar Express Snowflake Bentley (beautiful award winner but for older kids) any Jan Brett story- beautiful illustrations- I found some at costco last year The Snowman (beautiful wordless picture book)
Bear Stays Up for Christmas Curious George Christmas It's Christmas David (if you are into him- he's kind of naughty)
here's what we have now but I have a bunch in my cart and on his amazon list too: The one pic is board books for that age
oh and Christmas Cookies! I havent read this one but the regular one we read every September in my class. It's the sweetest book teaching compassion so I figure the christmas one will be good too
I really need to stop googling lists of books... I have a book addiction so this fits right in. I need to focus on just books he needs now and keep the others in the list for the future!
