Friday: $200 at Costco (included our Thanksgiving turkey), $5.52 for dinner from the food court, ~$50 from Home Depot for an insulated water cooler that we will be using to bring our Thanksgiving turkey Saturday: $6 lunch on my way to haircut, $75 for haircut and highlights, $22 at Sephora, $20 at MAC, $80 for sushi buffet for dinner Sunday: $200 for groceries (our regular groceries plus food for when my sister, BIL, niece and nephew arrive)
On Friday we bought a big bag of those Hawaiian rolls to have at Thanksgiving. I left them on the counter and came home to the bag destroyed and half of them eaten by our dog. So I still have to go out and get more of those. Oh, and when I was putting away the groceries yesterday, I dropped a full glass bottle of olive oil. So now I have to run out and get another bottle tonight.
Ugh starting Thursday when we bought first class plane tickets home to Michigan with a 7 day advance purchase Like rubytue posted it was such a minimal price to upgrade from coach, it covered the luggage fees.
-Picked up Mr. Pom's new, tricked out golf cart Friday $$$ Oh a couple of weeks ago we bought the new trailer to haul said golf cart$$ -Bought new WATERPROOF winter boots for both Mr. Pom and I....this was ok. We had to go to 4 stores, but we got decent ones (read not fashionable) for $33. They only need to hold together for a week. We will most likely not need them after this trip. -Winter shirts for Mr. P. $201. I am just going to layer.
Less than 20 on groceries (I have to check, but we're leaving town Wednesday morning, so H just stopped to grab a few essentials.)
15.50 to see a movie. That included 2 tickets, a bottle of water and chocolate covered pretzels. I love my theater.
137 at Sephora :/
About 12 on Starbucks yesterday after church
We both watch out of market football teams, so we have a streaming package which is nice. It saves money because we aren't going to sports bars every week. Besides, when the eagles are playing the bars get really crowded.
Pom - yup. Mine started Thursday, too with the last minute flights *sigh* But only for one. Too many logistical issues for both of us to go. I'm now sitting in the airport bc H dropped me off on his way to work, 3 hours early. But a week of parking on top of everything else just wasn't in the cards.
Anyway, to the questions F - $0 Sat - $600-ish on new tires. $26-ish on wine Sun - $70 at Costco for my last minute fakesgiving turkey and the packable down coat I've been debating. If anyone is looking for an easy 2-person thanksgiving meal, costco's stuffed turkey with cranberry is excellent!

Pretty good. My cousin, her husband, and some friends came to the Iowa football game this weekend. The weather was crappy so we decided not to go to the game which made the weekend every MM.
Friday $1.20 - Redbox
Saturday $30 - Baileys and a 12 pack for tailgating Friends visiting bought us pizza and drinks that night for driving them around all weekend

I will be thinking of you and your parents ruby. I hope things go well. (hugs)
I will throw this in here as well if you need to arrange some help for your parents after you leave. It was too late for us when I found out about this, but for just temp or light help, it seemed like a good option if available in their area.

I'm really lucky bc my folks have and excellent support system and lots of friends. Us kids could almost get away with not coming. But we don't want to wear our our welcome. Plus all their friends have family coming this week. But they are actually tolerable to be around and ppl like them. So there is that aspect, which I know you don't have My point - I will be thinking of you guys, too, quite a bit. And I'll try to remember how bad it really could be when I get irritated with hearing the same story 6 times a day. *hugs*

We got a killer deal at Home Depot this weekend by utilizing the current appliance sale + Am/Ex points for HD GCs @ $175 + a $200 VISA GC = ~$800 after taxes for a set of Samsung W+D
Washer: $579 ($220 off) and it can wash 21 towels. TWENTY ONE, people. Our current washer can handle 8 towels. Dryer: $579 ($220 off) it can dry a light load in TWENTY minutes. Be still my heart.
We figured out our washer is from 1997. It still works so we were a bit "maybe wait until it dies?" to be $$MM about it. But DH does 99% of the laundry and he's all excited about new appliances so I was very "whatever. You get what makes YOU happy, DH!" so we did it! We're selling our dryer to a co-worker for $100.

Considering we did most of our Thanksgiving shopping this weekend and we are hosting.....not great.
Fri- stayed in Sat- $60 for dinner and drinks at a local brewery Sun- $306 at Costco, $162 at Vons.
My family is staying for 5 days, arriving Thursday. I told DH that we aren't picking up restaurant tabs this weekend since we are covering Thanksgiving for 12 people. He loves to pick up the tab when we go out with my family.
I spent about $175 on dog grooming, which SUCKS, but at least they are clean and hopefully less hairy now. I did an extra fur treatment because they have both been shedding like nuts and I'm sick of my house being taken over by hair.
Other than that, I just bought gas (about $35) and groceries (about $90). We were pretty low key this weekend, the only fun thing we did outside of the house was lunch with friends on Saturday but we used a Groupon (that only cost $8 to begin with). Which is good, I've spent way too much already for November (an OOT wedding will do that...) and need to start spending less overall ASAP.

We have that set, they're AWESOME. The only thing that irritates me is the hot water is just barely hot. I looked it up in the manual and it said it gets hot to the touch, but no hotter, so as not to cause burns. WTF the lid locks, Samsung, heat my freaking water.

ha! I really don't know about using the hot water feature - for reals, I do NOT do much of the laundry. I dont know what needs to be washed on hot??? DH is all stoked to have something from this century washing our clothes! We got a Samsung S+S fridge over the summer when our GE crapped out on us. It's been great!

BAMFMrsB We need to wash cloth diapers in HOT water, so that kind of sucks. We end up using Bac Out or bleach since we can't get the water hot enough. The only other thing we wash in hot are towels, but Samsung "hot" is good enough for that. They are awesome, you'll love them! SO quiet and pretty fast!

Friday - $2 on coffee with a friend, $8 on an oil filter for DHs car, $20 in cash from the bank, $101 at Costco Saturday - $80ish on groceries, $285 on my Christmas/birthday gift from the ILs (which I will be reimbursed for, obviously, but I told MIL no rush and she can give me the money when we see her for the holiday so until them I'm OOP for it) Sunday - $26 on gifts for my niece and nephews, $52 on my birthday gift from DH
We stayed at the banff springs hotel with the kids so not very MM. We spent over $1000 even though our second night was almost free.
I'm staying there in January for a company trip, how did you like it?
What isn't to love :-) we upgraded to a suite which is really just a regular size room compared to elsewhere. Beautiful scenery, great service. Great outdoor pool which the kids loved. We are at the waldhaus for fondue one night- great food. my company sponsored an event there. We didn't spend any time in town but we went skiing.
