Today is DH's annual review. He just got a BIG promotion to division manager two months ago, so he's nervous about what his new bigwig boss is gonna say. He also gets his annual bonus today. He already handed out the bonuses to his employees. As a manager, he wouldn't get a bonus SMALLER than his employees, would he??
I FINALLY got my EI money for mat leave. Wooooo Christmas! I think this year dh and I are just going to get each other some stocking suffers then take some cash and go boxing day sale shopping. There's nothing specific either of us wants, and we've both admitted we have no clue what to buy the other, but we'd both enjoy driving to the nearest big shopping centre and doing some window shopping and impulse buying.

He could. My bonuses are the same structure as my employees, so they could give me a smaller percentage if they didn't like my performance.
Not all teams have managers that make more than their direct reports as well--some of my colleagues would expect to get less than their reports.
He would know what the structure is and what his employees' salaries are though I expect.
I am up early and need to leave for the office soon. I need to finish writing my own performance review. Our goals were way overly detailed this year. I'm struggling. I need get it done by 10am. Boo!

Good luck to your DH, @supergreen!
DS is sick again. I took off two days week before last. He vomited yesterday am and then had no other symptons other than sleeping more than usual. This morning he vomited again. I hate burning through my sick days and I feel really guilty that I was planning to take him in to daycare anyway, until he threw up. I knew he wasn't feeling well but he has no measurable signs.

Hopefully he gets a huge bonus!
I'm on vacation this week and keeping DS home from daycare. It's pouring out and a crappy day. I'm trying to think of something to do. Or maybe we will have a lazy pj day.
Work is going to be beastly today. I called MH for a pep talk this morning.
I'm still waiting for my background check to come back so I can set a start date for my new position. They warned me it would take a while but I'm getting impatient. I won't give my notice until it is complete.
M slept from 11:30-5:30. Woo! H tried to tell me that this counts as STTN, because he didn't feed him at his 10:30 wakeup. Um, he cried on and off for an hour. BUT I'm happy about having slept for six hours in a row, so I'll take it!
Bleh. We have about 18 thousand things to get done today but of course my wife work up with a migraine. Squishy won't be in a room without a grownup without screaming so it takes two people to get anything done. Sigh. (This is vacation...what a waste.)

Ugh, K is doing this too. If we walk out of the room she cries. They are also working on their first teeth and randomly burst into hysterical crying. I'm tired
@this - I showed my H your FB post from last night and he thinks they could be BFFs. lol
I'm excited about a 3 day work week and then spending the rest of the week at my parents'. They always take such great care of me and g and I love it. Going home is such a great feeling to me.
The baby and I have the same cold. Except I can load up on decongestant and pain reliever and feel normal. What can I do for a 14 month old's congestion? Beyond running the humidifier and saline? I think it's in his lungs. He seems much better this morning, but the coughing in the middle of the night . I think I may take him to the pedi this morning anyway.
I'm really busy at work but can't find the motivation to sit down and focus. I'm tired and more interested in posting baby things on cl to sell to get them out of my house!
We went to an outlet mall yesterday and spend a sh*t ton of money. I am actually a little sick about it. But we bought what we went for and a lot of it will come out of the fun money we set aside from our house sale. But still. A LOT of money.
I am really excited I got polarized Oakley sunglasses (which were on my list!) for $85. SCREAMING deal.
Son of a bitch J has pink eye. Luckily we could take him to H's grandparent's house instead of needing to take off work. H was getting off at 4 to take J for his second flu shot already, so I guess we need antibiotics now too. Do I need to call and change to a sick visit? His cough has also gotten worse when it was starting to get better. Ugh, I better call I guess. I don't want to point fingers, but J was wiping his nose into his eye all weekend and H wasn't cleaning his face off...
I let DD do her own Christmas shopping on Amazon this weekend. I couldn't make up my mind which Corolle doll to order or which Skip Hop backpack she'd like best. So when she asked to sit in my lap, I let her and she picked which ones she liked, lol. (The answer: Calin Grenadine and the penguin.) Done. Also, DH is actually giving me helpful suggestions on things he wants for Christmas this year. Shopping is turning into a much less painful experience than it was last year.

Yes, he knows what his employee's structure and salaries are. He does NOT know what the manager structure and salaries are. He does make more salary than all his direct reports. So fingers crossed! I hope it's enough to knock out our CC debt from the move, that would be extremely helpful.
DH has introduced the older two kids to the muppets recently. There's a line at the end of the mahna mahna song where they say "the question is, who cares!" And DD thinks this is HILARIOUS. To hear her little four year old voice mimic it back and then they all erupt in laughter. I need to make sure I record it.
I can't disagree, it's pretty funny. But I know we're going to regret it soon enough lol.

Last night was awful. I just need to cut the swaddle out. I may try to just let her fuss it out tonight after she busts out of it because I cannot handle going in there 5+ times a night to reswaddle her. Plus teething. Ugh. Super glad this seems to be the pattern since we are going out of town this weekend and no doubt she will sleep wonderfully #sarcasm

I would call and let them know you think that he has pink eye and his cough is getting worse and see if they need to recharacterize the visit to be a sick visit. And try not to be too hard on your H. Pink eye is super contagious and if its going around, pretty likely your kid will get it even if you are being very careful.
DD seems to be sleeping in this morning, despite all of H's seeming attempts to wake her with a project that he's working on with the towel rack in the bathroom adjacent to her room. He has dropped a bunch of pieces of metal that have gone clanging off the tile floor multiple times, yet she is snoozing away. I'm going to have to wake her soon because I need to leave for work, but it's nice to have time to drink coffee!

That's rough I'm sorry! Squeaky got two teeth a month or two ago with little fan fare. I think Squishy may be thinking about getting some.
We over slept a bit today, and A needed a shower. I still managed to get us all out of the door and to her school on time. I will confess that M was still in his pajamas.
