Ugh, same thing happens whenever DH is OOT on a weekend and I let DD sleep in our bed. It always sounds so cozy in theory, and then the reality just sucks.

Hugs. Leo can't even have us in the room or he just stands up in the pnp saying "mama? dada?" all night. The few times we've tried this, we've given up around 4:30 am.
We make a "pallet" on the floor. A big stack of blankets and he lays on top. It's what my grandma used to do for us & he thinks it's the best thing ever.
He was born there, went to college there, his brother lives there, and he's west Texas raised. I get why he wants to live there, and there are bits of Lubbock I like... But it is SO FAR AWAY from my family and everything else.
I am worried about the noise she would make rolling around on an air mattress. But she sleeps on a cot at school- we might try that! Thanks! pooh8402- lol I LOVE Lubbock. I actually added that city to this trip- my BFF lives there And we haven't visited in forever. I would move back there in a sec if it wasn't so far from my parents I am of the belief though that you have to live there for at least a year before you really love it there.
I would love it if it were like 4 hours closer to east/central TX. The city has good food, we found a church there we love, and my SIL lives there who I love.
The air mattress will be AWESOME. They even make a "kid" version that has slightly higher sides so they can't roll out. DO IT. You will thank everyone who has suggested this to you.

Ugh, it is sooo far from everything. Y'all going there for thanksgiving?
