And damn, you need a new dentist if they're giving you a two week wait for a broken tooth.
This. That's crazy. When I was a dental assistant that is considered an emergency visit. We would squeeze people in right away for that. Call back and tell them it's sharp and your tongue keeps going to the area and getting sore from it.
Sorry that happened. Not that there is any good timing to break a tooth, but this week really sucks.
I would try to call around to another dentist and see if they could get you in sooner.
I called everyone from my insurance website within 45 mile radius (there was only about 8). Only other one I could get into as a new patient said not until January???
Most were not taking new patients though. Not the best insurance

Perhaps, this was my error. I was honest and am really not in pain. Haven't even taken a pain pill of any kind. Just sensitive when I try to chew so I am avoiding. Which is why I think it is part of a filling. The piece was really small. Smaller than a grain of Quinoa

One of my fillings fell out a few years ago and couldn't get into see anyone during the weekend. I bought this stuff, it's a PITA, but it was a temp fix.
We have emergency dental places around here...do you? They could at least see if it's just a filling or not then you might have a better idea of what to do/expect.

Sorry. That does suck.
No - down falls of the country. I am sure if I drive to Hartford I could find one but I just don't have the time to get there. It's a solid hour from my house.
If it was really bad, I would. Or i it gets really bad I will call back

All of ours here require you to be a patient of record to be seen. Even the emergency only places require you to be a patient of record somewhere for afterhours/weekend calls.
I called every fucking dental office in town when I had my issue. Not an option because I had been putting off my appointments for too long.

If it's already sensitive, you could be in for a world of hurt over a four day weekend. I would call back, tell them the pain is getting worse, and beg for someone to see you or ask if they know anyone they could refer you to for this emergency. My teeth are a mess and I've had dental emergencies before - the pain can escalate VERY suddenly, depending on what's going on in there, how close it is to the nerve, etc.
