My DVR cut off the last 10-15 minutes of the most recent episode because the prior show ran late (fuck you, Bones). Can someone please PLEASE tell me what happened after the Solanos walked out of the bowling alley? I'm begging. Thank you.

Tom is alive but he’s atypically paranoid about his computer. He busted it up after asking his uncle about deleting stuff. Caver passed out in the woods, and Beth is keeping the baby. The creepy lady delivered the skate board to Tom and then at the end the police raided her trailer.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I can now carry on with my life.
I didn't watch Gracepoint but I did watch the UK show it's ripped from and from what I've seen of the adverts it's pretty much the same word for word.
In the British one they walk out of the arcade, talk about how they used to go all of the time when the kids were little, how much Danny (or whatever the murdered boy's name is in the US) used to love it. Beth then says that they'll have to take the baby once it's born.

I did read that the killer won't be the same person though.
...and reading the update that was posted while I was typing--the story is exactly the same. Some names and some characters are slightly changed (Tom asking the vicar who is totally unrelated about memory on the computer in the British version). This makes me wonder why they redid it at all? Why not just pick up the British show like they did with Sherlock?

Interesting. The identity of the killer is what made it so good. It seems kind of weird to invest that much time watching for a different ending?

I must say that I'm sorry I am watching the American version first rather than the British, because by all accounts, the British version is better. David Tennant's Yankee accent is making my husband crazy, but I actually don't think it's that bad, and I'm usually quite critical of Brits trying to sound like Americans.
There are two aspects of the show that make me kind of crazy: first, I don't like Ellie. She just seems so emotionally flat. Second, I cannot muster sympathy for Mark Solano at all. He gives off a creepster vibe but I can't put my finger on why. Meanwhile the entire internet loves the guy who plays him and I feel like the odd one out.

Is he supposed to be from the east? The show is set in Northern California.
