Whatever you guys think. I will be refreshing like a Mofo though.
Feel free to go about your business for a few hours. Nixon is enroute to STL. Speculation is he will have a presser at 4 and prosecuter at 5 CST, but it has yet to be formally announced.

Nobody from prosecutors office contacted MB family to let them know a decision was reached as had been promised. They learned from CNN. They are outraged.
I'm praying it is. DH is in Ferguson right now for work. I'm hoping he gets out of there before it is released. I hope his work is smart enough to not send them tomorrow if shit gets crazy. NO ONE NEEDS NEW FLOORING THAT BADLY.

If true, that's really not a good way to start.
You know, when they originally said they would contact them before releasing the decision, it stuck out to me that they never said how far in advance they would tell them.

Is this typical? Do prosecutors usually let victims families know of GJ decisions first?

CNN was just saying they told them 6 hours advance notice. It's too bad they didn't fulfill that.

I hope he gets home soon. I'm praying things are peaceful and everyone in the area is safe tonight and this week.

Depends, often when it is a high profile case like this they will as a matter of courtesy/respect to the victims family to allow them to prepare for the decision going public.
I think it's for traffic purposes in case protestors shut down all the streets near the courthouse.
Oh man, I hope your DH is already heading out of Ferguson right now. When is the press conference to tell us what happened?
Thanks. He can't leave until 3. I know the Gov is confirmed in town, but no clue when the press conference will start. I'm sure people are starting to gather now though, for when the time comes.

Courtesy and respect for the family, the witnesses, and they entire community hasn't really been on their radar since day 1.

I can't believe they're actually announcing today - after they didn't do it friday, I thought they'd push til after the holiday. Whatever happened to the 48 hours notice thing? Hoping to get home tonight before the city blows up.

I have a feeling that whichever way this goes, there is going to be some trouble. My husband work had a plan in place for employees that they released lay week in case things are bad.
I have a sinking feeling that I know how this is going to go and it's not good
We all do, hence the National Guard, FBI, Homeland Security and who knows who else has been stationed here. I don't know if it's b/c my DH is in the heart of it right now, but I have a bad feeling in my gut right now. I'm actually afraid for my city. And it's not the protestors I'm scared of.

They must have realized that wouldn't work. They couldn't tell all the area police officers and expect it to be kept secret for 48 hours. Like my boss just said "if 2 people know, everyone knows".
