A bunch of people have had extreme allergic reactions to EOS - people not known to be allergic to anything that have used it before and for a while. Ranges from seeming to make lips more chapped to big ugly blistering rashes.
Anyway, I like Nivea and Body Shop Lip Butter(which isn't Target, I know).

Uh oh I've been slathering EOS on like it's going out of style but my lips aren't really getting better. Maybe I should switch to a different brand to see if that helps.
I really like rosebud salve. I'm not sure if you can find it at drugstores. I always order it online in huge quantities. It's not super expensive. Like $6.50 maybe. It's my favorite ever.
This one is very good for super chapped lips in the winter.

I posted on here awhile ago about my horribly chapped lips. They would BURN and extended past my lip line. It was so embarrassing. I have a feeling the EOS didn't help. Not sure if it was the initial cause, but it definitely added fuel to the fire so to speak.
I finally went to the doctor and steroid cream helped calm my lips down. My doctor recommends nothing but aquaphor so that's what I use now and really like it!
This reminds me (I promise it's my last mention of Willie Geist) - my coworker asked him on Friday night how his testicles were doing (since he had an on-air exam that morning). She is officially my hero now.

I wiped off my EOS & put on the Aquaphor I have in my purse right after I posted.

OMG .. I totally had the same reaction with EOS sweet mint! I had a similar reaction to Burts Bees about 10 years ago so I just figured I was allergic to something.
I'm clearly in the minority here, but burts bees is irritating to me also. It makes my lips sting and burn and makes them feel sort of swollen and dried out.
It depends on which one for me--the regular stuff is no good. The tinted lip balm is fine? Not great though.
I weighed in on the EOS post on CEP, because after reading it it was like a huge lightbulb moment.
I'll recap here.... in July 2013 the corner of my mouth started to tingle, and I felt like I was getting a cold sore, and the corner of my lip cracked. Over the course of the day, the tingle/burning sensation spread across my entire mouth, and my lips started to puff up like I had been stung.
The next day my lips were so puffy, burning and scary looking I booked it to urgent care. Doc told me I had impetigo, and prescribed a steroid ointment. My lips hurt so bad, and felt rough like sandpaper. I couldn't open my mouth to take bites of food, I had to eat in tiny tiny pieces and drink through a straw because anything on my mouth hurt.
The steroid ointment helped trememdously, and I started to improve over the next several days, and was basically in the clear in about two weeks.
I three out all my lip balms, lipsticks, etc. INCLUDING the lemon EOS I had JUST bought and had only used a couple times.
I never made the connection until I read the CEP thread. I immediately took to google and found a pic with an allergic reaction that appeared EXACTLY as my lips looked. Looking up impetigo, I truly now don't believe that's what I had.
Prior to that incident, I had no known allergies (still no KNOWN allergies), and I haven't bought EOS again, out of coincidence. I just stick to my chapstick or rose salve because I know those work best for me. Burts Bees makes my lips sting like crazy, but no other sort of reaction.
