I myself am not a fan of traditional Thanksgiving fare. My favorite part is stuffing. But I more than make up for it with my love of apps and wine.
I am hosting I spent the day at Costco and Wegmans and now I am freaking out and second-guessing myself with how much turkey I got. It's supposed to snow later in the week and the stores were already a hot mess, even on a Monday.

We're going to DH's grandparents' house. I love stuffing. I could just eat that with gravy all day. Oh and cranberry sauce.
DH went to do our normal weekly grocery shopping this morning and said the stores were a hot mess. I'm thankful he has this week off and went then. It might snow Wed/Thurs so I think everyone is freaking out.
Flying across the Atlantic to New York! (I don't obviously celebrate Thanksgiving because I'm not American) I'll be eating whatever I get in the airport lounge or on the plane.

If you're in Boston I'm pretty sure it's a certainty now that you will be getting snow. The only question now is how much.
We're teaming up with friends this year. I'm bummed that I'm not hosting. After wine my favorite food is dessert and then stuffing. I like turkey too.

We stay home alone- we are in MD, my family is in PA, and H's is in MA, so it's tough to travel with his work schedule.
So, I cook the full meal myself for just the 2 of us! Turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, broccoli/cauliflower casserole, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, and pumpkin cheesecake.
(Side note: Yesterday, H suggested that we scale back the menu so that I don't have to do so much work. When I asked him what we should skip, he said 'Brussels sprouts'. Which is conveniently the ONLY thing he is in charge of! Thanks, jerk.)
Anyway, I love stuffing. That's my favorite. I don't like the overly seasoned variety- mine just has bread, butter, milk, bacon, celery, onion and a little poultry seasoning.

Yes I am. Oh well. At least I don't have far to go.
One model shows 4" and one shows 1" and mixed precipitation. At this point I'll take 4" of white stuff and pass on the mixed precipitation. This should make for a fun/interesting trail race on Thanksgiving morning..........
We're hosting for 8 other people. Our friends invited their (his) parents over to our house, which I find.... weird. But whatever - I already told them that their parents just better not get offended when I'm pounding wine while making turkey for them in my own house. Do I sound annoyed?
I'm making the turkey and a majority of the fixings, plus a pumpkin cheesecake. They're bringing whatever else is left. My favorite is actually an olive cheeseball that I make for an appetizer, so not Thanksgiving-y at all! Oh, and the wine and brandy slush, obviously.
Luckily this is a 55-mile week for me so I'm not even going to feel the least bit guilty.

We are hosting, but it's a fairly small gathering - 7 of us total. It's all my (ex)partner's family with the exception of my father...I will be drinking...lots! Honey Crisp Apple Sangria is going to be my favorite food this Thanksgiving.
Other than that, I am most looking forward to MIL's twice baked potatoes. Followed by ALL.THE.PIE.
My favorite is creamed corn and sweet potato casserole! We're hosting this year but it'll just be 5 of us so not bad. Always love eating leftover turkey. We've also started frying the turkey a few years ago and it's so much better and faster!
We are doing it super simply, just the three of us, in our condo rental in Boulder. My parents are having us over for a thanksgiving-type dinner Sunday when we get back to CA
Before going veg, my favorite dish was my grandmother's stuffing. It's awesome. Mostly, I just like variety that Thanksgiving brings. And the desserts.

We're going to Whistler with two other families. There will be 13 of us total and we're doing the full meal deal. The beauty of it is the guys really want to watch the football game, so they'll go back early with the kids to cook the turkey while the ladies get to ski!
I don't eat meat (but do eat fish) so I'm making salmon for my main dish. I'm most looking forward to making leftover sandwiches to bring skiing and eating them on the mountain

This is the first year in 4 years that I'm not cooking/hosting and I'm honestly relieved. However, we are going to the in-laws for the day, so that means we're eating dinner at a restaurant . MIL doesn't cook, which is fine, but try as I might there is just something so depressing about spending my favorite holiday at a restaurant, regardless of how nice it is.
I refuse to order a turkey dinner at a restaurant so I will be having salmon or some other type of seafood.
My favorite part of traditional Thanksgiving is the post- dinner sandwich. Turkey, stuffing, cranberries and gravy on white bread with mayo.
@g22, I am a cherry pie lover too! It's by far my favorite, and I'm hoping my sister will be bringing me one when she arrives on Wednesday. Hers is amazing. I really need to get this ankle healed up so I can start running all the miles and eat all the pie!!
jamalynn, my DH is veg too so I am looking forward to trying some new recipes for our post-Thanksgiving dinner for the 2 of us. Oh.my.veggies has a lentil mushroom meatball recipe that looks delish. Do you have a fave veg recipe you use for a turkey replacer, or do you just do all the sides? Last year DH ate a Gardein fake turkey thing that was actually pretty good. We've also done the Field Roast brand grain 'meats'.
I'm working Thanksgiving from 7-3:30. DH, BIL, and FSIL are cooking at my apartment. So I get to come home and eat dinner without cooking anything I am going to make some cookies on Wednesday, but other than that... its up to them!
We generally do pretty simple Thanksgiving meals, especially since its the four of us this year. We are having turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, croissants, apple pie, and chocolate chip cookies. Obviously the cookies are my favorite!
We are headed home to Colorado to be with our families. I am in charge of corn casserole and wine (is the wine some sick joke or something? I will probably have a half glass, though. I've been dreaming of a spicy Malbec for about 6 months now). My favorite is green bean casserole.

We'll be at my parents, who are 15 minutes away. That's after a morning spent at a local Turkey Trot. DH, DS, and I are each doing a race. I can only hope that it won't be in a ton of snow.
I am a huge fan of mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. Actually, I go light on dinner so I can stuff myself with as much pie as possible. With real whipped cream.
We are flying to Alabama and our flight leaves at 4:50 pm. I'm pretty sure I will be spending most of Thanksgiving Eve in the airport
I am not really responsible for any food because we are flying in rather than driving and we will be crashing with my Aunt and Uncle/ cousins. I'd rather host than have to fly on thanksgiving.
My favorite Thanksgiving food is mac and cheese and dessert.
I'm going home Wed. I'm meeting a friend for a Turkey Trot and doing dinner that afternoon. DH has to work and will come down Friday so we'll see his mom then.
My favorite food is either mashed potatoes or stuffing. Oh, and my moms homemade rolls are amazing. Carb loading is clearly the goal. My favorite dessert is my moms pumpkin log roll. It is amazing too.
I'm hosting. My favorite part of the meal is dessert. This year it's going to be sugar cream pie, sweet potato pie, Oreo bon bons, German chocolate cheese cake, and rum cake. I cannot wait.

We're going to my mom's (2 hrs south). My cousins are coming from Pheonix, so there will be 16 of us this year. I can't wait to see everyone.
I'm making apple pie, potatoes, an elaborate cheese platter app (I take cheese very seriously lol), and I'm making cranberry thyme syrup ahead of time so that we can do cranberry thyme gin &/or vodka tonics. (I take the booze as seriously as the cheese.)
