We also flip flop Thanskgiving and Christmas every year.
This year it is the ILs for Thanksgiving, so we are driving to CT. I don't have work tomorrow, but if the weather is terrible, we might just wait and go Thursday morning. I have an appointment at the personal trainer tomorrow at 9 am so we can't leave until I go there and then come home and shower and pack afterwards.
Tonight I need to make my famous pumpkin cheesecake.
It's our year with the ILs and we are hosting because MIL had rotator cuff surgery a couple weeks ago and the aunt that usually hosts is in Costa Rica. It only took this perfect combination of circumstances and 8 years for them to let me host, so here I am freaking out that everything needs to be perfect because I want them to let me host again. It's mostly my FIL I'm worried about impressing and I don't even know why I care at this point, but I do. I know it will all turn out fine, but until then...

I'm so thankful we are only headed to DH's grandparent's house. It's about a 30 minute drive. I have a trail turkey trot though in the morning which should be interesting. DH is out now running some errands and buying me some microspikes to put on my shoes.
Sometimes we see my side of the family but the times don't work out, I'm really glad in a way because I'm exhausted and don't want to be driving in crappy weather either. I have no clue the timeline of this storm except that it's coming.
We hosted Christmas last year and I already told my IL's and my dad/sister that we are doing that again. I am having my dad spread the word to the families tomorrow.
We also flip flop holidays and Thanksgiving will be spent with my family. We're driving out to Western MA as my parents are hosting. We had planned to drive out tomorrow but with the weather we may just drive out for the day Thursday as H works Black Friday. I am excited to go home though, my family is fun and my mom is an awesome cook.
I also took today off too and am excited to have the 5 day weekend. Luckily H has Saturday off and we have plans to see the new Hunger Games movie in the afternoon.

We have 2 families coming for dinner and another will join for dessert. It's always just friends, which is cool. I'll start cooking tomorrow and then it will be the usual cluster day off with people helping and kids everywhere. But we love it that way. Oh and no one is traveling far. These people are coming from Arlington and Winchester. They're the traitors who left Somerville.
Jealous of all you people who are off already! I'm glad my boss is letting me WFH tomorrow. I have a doctors appt in the morning and then I will be home for the storm, which makes me happy. Between the snow and holiday, I was worried I'd get stuck in traffic for hours coming home from work.
Thur we drive to Western MA for Thanksgiving at my sisters. Should be fun! We might do some black friday shopping too. Back on Fri night, seeing other friends Sat and then we'll have a day to hang at home on Sunday. Thank goodness, I'm tired and sick of working so I'm excited for a few days off. We'll probably put up our tree on Sunday. I'm actually pretty psyched for Xmas this year.

My MIL is hosting this year so no traveling this year. For the first time ever. I am not running a turkey trot this year either which is so strange. Next year I'm getting back in the saddle!
