So....I have a rather large kitchen with a ton of counter space in the house we are renting. However, I don't feel like it ever looks clean/tidy/pretty. Can you please take a look at these pictures and tell me what I can do to achieve this. I am hosting Christmas and want it to look clean/tidy/pretty. Thanks!

Remove everything you can from the countertops. It'll make it look cleaner. Then try to arrange what's left to be visually appealing, such as lining the canister up or grouping random items like salt/pepper/napkins (just an example) together so they're not scattered all over the place. You could remove stuff from the fridge, but if it's just for a party, I don't think I would bother. If you were trying to sell, you would definitely want to do that.

Thank you! I can't switch out the curtains, but I can defintately try and find a matching rug. With adding color to the room, I have the kitchen aid mixer that is a cobalt blue, but we don't use it daily. So, do I leave it out for color or put it away to make things look cleaner?
Crock-pot is not normally there, I was making dinner last night.
I would put most of the appliances away if you want a "clean" look for Christmas. You can get them back out once everyone has left. I think the mixer would be one of the few things I left out because of the pretty color.
