I just ordered (for pick up) some of these 7-in-1 multi tools from Lowes. I think the price is supposed to be $1.40, not $.14, but either way it is a good price.

I go to world market/target and wander around - our stockings are traditionally full of ridiculousness and food. World Market's "mini" foods and international foods in the back of the store are ALWAYS the best place to find a bunch of random stuff - mini coffees, etc. This year's haul so far:
For my parents (there's also some bigger "small" stuff that likely won't fit in the stockings):
For R & I (I thought I was done, but I can see that I need to do more - it's unfortunate, I usually fill our stockings with mini bottles of alcohol and I can't do that this year, so I'm struggling):

I've done packets of herb or flower seeds, Christmas ornaments, nail polish, hair clips, costume jewelry, clutches, socks, golf balls, little tools from Lowes, candy, a good paring knife/vegetable peeler, $5 gift cards to fast food places, cute office supplies (paper clips, staples etc) sewing kits.

I think Santa needs to leave some special stockings with special bottles in a super secret location...like your bedroom.
I love to go to World Market for stocking stuffers. I like to go to the grocery store too. We do a lot of 'local foods' and favorite food kind of stuff. I always buy hot sauce for my son in law....the hotter the better. So far I have managed to find hotter sauces than he has, so he thinks I am Santa is amazing. ;p
Some things I've done are $5 Starbucks GCs, nail polish, a box of favorite tea, movie tickets (bought original from Costco) , some little beauty gifts I picked up from Sephora/Ulta on Black Friday, little flashlights, various GCs, new luggage tags, packages of local soup mixes
